You mean the stick lift he's been doing all season? Focusing on negatives seems to be a trend this fanbase has stuck to. Your argument is a team stat? Which doesn't represent a single players ability. Get real dude. So when I opened it up for you to offer proof, you declined and went for the straight denial route 👍🏼 Lacho and MacMillan are our main PKers - so that PK stat is a key part of what they'll be judged on. It's like sticking a guy out for every PP and not being concerned when we never score. You say Lacho is doing well in his new defensive role, but we've conceded the 5th highest amount of goals (scoring less than we concede). As someone else has pointed out on this thread, Lacho is one of our worst on the +\- stats (which doesn't include goals from special teams). The only highlight I can pick out for him is that he's up to 4 goals and 18pts in 43 league games, which already beating what he got all last season (3+9 in 49 games). You say he's stick lifting and taking possession every game, yet I can't see it happening and neither can many others?? You use a stat that is completely flawed and everyone with half a brain knows it, +/- is more relevant for defence pairings and even then it isn't reflective of a players performance the same as corsi ratings, too many factors can throw the stats off. Most other fans also don't seem to grasp simple ethics and trends in hockey so i fail to see your logic. People need to open their eyes and drop the scapegoat same old same old player bashing. He's had a very good year, he's been bounced around the lineup, placed at center and still hit 3rd liner point targets. Tell me how many players can cope with all that on this team and still have an upturn in production as well as handle their key responsibilities? Because none of them really have bar a select few. He's on the up compared to recent years and his performances past Christmas have been a reflection on that. Pay attention to the key details and you'll actually see it.

He's on the up compared to recent years and his performances past Christmas have been a reflection on that. Pay attention to the key details and you'll actually see it. Which stat is flawed... that we are in the bottom half of PK'ing? That Lacho is on the ice more when we concede than when we score? That he's a 'defensive forward' on a team conceding more than it scores? Stats don't always paint the full picture but they can draw a pretty good outline - especially when a team is doing well or poorly. Unfortunately, Lacho is on a poor team and his effort levels have noticeably dropped from 4 years ago (arguably better since last year, but a world away from 2013). As a lot can just be conjecture in opinions, we look at the stats to add substance to our argument and they aren't pretty reading for Lacho (personally or as a team). I see you pick up on me saying his points have improved, and with glee you use that to claim proof he's improving... but is 4 goals in 43 games (at least 2 Empty netters) much to whoop and holla about? You also try and call us out for supposedly trying to find a 'scapegoat' in Lacho and 'same old player bashing' before swiftly moving on to knock most other players??... Even I 'with half a brain' can see that's hypocritical.
