You can already see the problems you're going to have if you want to effect change - no one can agree on how to do it so how can you expect it to succeed? This is why if you are that passionate, get involved with the supporters trust. Attend their meetings and be involved in an active democracy where agreements can be made.
Throwing tennis balls - not a good idea. Half the arena can't get the balls on to the ice. And has anything be thought about the consequence of throwing objects when there are other people in attendance? If someone misjudges a throw and hits somone, you look like the bad guys. It may only be a tennis ball but thrown hard enough and misjudged they can hurt.
Chanting whilst in principle works, but if the teams winning, that'll get drowned out by the happier support which will number into the thousands.
Being able to identify yourselves is good - you can speak to like minded fans at games.
I really wish I could be involved more in the ST however my personal life outside hockey takes a priority outside games so I can't commit. But all that do have time, use your energy into that

Why should we care if we alienate other fans ? Best way to get Panthers to take notice is hit them in the pocket,so if fans get naffed off with disruption they may not go for a few games. Moran and Black won't like crowds dropping. Bingo.....sound good to me ! Best idea so far - wait for the National Anthem to be played, then all the protestors file out and play Bingo in the foyer. Or better still, instead of shouting the players name when a goal is announced, use their Bingo call sign instead - eg - David Clarke's goal is met with 'Man Alive', Geoff Waugh with 'Droopy Drawers' etc. Pity Paul Adey and Craighead aren't still here though..

Love the foyer bingo angle. GM could make himself useful & call 'Shout' the numbers.... 'All the fours, Geoff Waugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

what about getting some t-shirts printed to get your message across?
visible, none intrusive, cheap and can be used to identify supports of this 'movement'.
if you're going to boycott games and you enjoy watching the panthers then your only going to affect yourselves. even if 500 people boycotted it wouldn't be noticed by the club, well, not enough to make a stance.
has anyone actually thought about writing/emailing/telephoning the club to voice concerns....

What's all this nicey nicey approach to protesting..we're a sports team . Protesting is supposed to be ugly. Hit them hard make their lives difficult and force the idiots out !! Do you actually have anything even approaching a plan, or is this just more hot air? "Hit them hard"... how? By throwing tennis balls? You're physically more likely to hit fellow fans hard (with a tennis ball to the back of the head) than anything else. Of course, you could always screw up and manage to clonk Brain McGrattan on the bonce. Oops. RIP Pidge. And is anyone really deluded enough to believe that a bit of disruption like that is actually going to get Neilson or Moran fired? For Neil Black to suddenly agree to make the changes that the fans demand? (although he'd have to wait to find out for the assembled fans to actually agree on said demands, of course... don't hold your breath). So, say that The Great Nottingham Tennis Ball Toss actually takes place... and gets absolutely nowhere, of course... what then? Do you a) go back to ranting and raving online and little else? b) carry on with the same old public protests (probably with an ever-dwindling set of compatriots) yelling "Power To The People!" a la Citizen Smith? c) realise you're getting nowhere and escalate... to what? Real vandalism? Actual direct harassment and/or physical assault? You're leaving yourself with nowhere to go here... give it up now while you can. When you've lost sight of daylight... stop digging.

Steelers lose a game and Steeltalk goes into meltdown - think that the happiest fans are those who watch a team that they expect to lose, but occasionally win (Panthers??)

The biggest problem you're going to have is there's simply not enough of you. This forum will contain the majority of the hardcore fanbase who'd be likely to act on something like this and you don't even have a sizeable amount persuaded on here.
If your goal is to have people removed from their positions then you're well out of your depth. If that's your end goal, cool. You've got many posts to pass first though, you need to get a lot more people on-side. That's where you'd start with the supporters trust if you're half smart.

What on Earth are you talking about? Trying and failing to reason with shaggy. Pretty impossible but didn't expect anything else even if he is a forum moderator. Lol And my being a moderator has what exactly to do with this? Seeing as I have neither moderated you in any way, nor even mentioned the possibility. Playing the victim card in advance again, are you?... "Oh look, the nasty moderator is bullying me, boo hoo..." The simple truth is you've come out with a load of unsupported rubbish, and you're ducking perfectly legitimate questions about it (not surprising, I suppose... seeing as I don't think you even have any answers). You're not related to Donald Trump, are you? Face it, this whole tennis balls idea is... well, a load of balls. Anyone who actually sits down and thinks about it for a few minutes will recognise that. If you really want to make a protest, you might want to see if you can get a consensus amongst a significant number of fans (would have to be in the hundreds to have any real chance of having an effect) over what exactly to do. Think... don't just spout off. Analyse, plan, coordinate, act. You're constantly criticising the club for being amateur hour... you're not going to have much chance of influencing them if you operate on the same basis, are you?

There's a football club somewhere in europe (cant for the life of me remember who). But i know that they once had fans wearing their shirts backwards at a game to show that they thought the club had turned thier back on them. I think the club was being sold or something.

Would any of you guys who posted on this thread be interested in giving up a couple of hours on Sunday to help promote the Supporters Trust?

A good idea for the recent xmas jersey too.

Has anyone thought of a really simple protest whereby everyone just posts the same message on every single tweet the club put out or spamming all the panthers related hashtags? Then just keep retweeting and liking all those messages until you've drowned the club out on their own timeline?
Yes it only effects those on Twitter and it won't hurt the bottom line, but it'll be pretty embarrassing for the club. It also shares your message with all your Panthers friends, and potentially their Panthers friends etc...
