Oh he will Shorty......next season is going to be fun watching this unfold and then go terribly wrong ! At least,Simmsy will be able to give his "brother" a lift to the arena to save money. Wonder if they've told poor old Gerad yet......he ain't gonna be happy !!!!! Is this anything more than guesswork/ pure speculation? Sent from my LG-D802 using proboards

Completely shocked. Two consecutive coaches sacked mid-term on their contracts, and G narrowly missing out on the Grand slam. If I were a coach, I dont think I would give up a secure contract to go to Sheffield.

The problem is Panthers make it incredibly easy for fans to think this way... Kind of agree. The massive decline since the Grand Slam season has made many of the 'middle of the road' fans (those somewhere in between the happy clappers and the cynics) feel short changed. The quality of the signings for next season and the subsequent on-ice product has got to be the very, very best that the Panthers org can manage next season. Fans will vote with their feet otherwise. A massive season coming up I feel. Trophyless, gutless, dull, boring, mid-table - just won't do. ....Dull, boring .... This season I (along with my partner and 2 kids), have probably been to less than half the home games. Next season will start with an intent to attend 20+ home games, but it will all depend on what is put before me as to whether we turn out, or simply catch the twitter updates.

Pretty sure kwall and family usually head off home during the off season - not noticed him selling his kit before though.

Who is making your signings when you don't even have a coach signed?

We need to get the brits sorted, but import-wise how often have I heard we sign too early and it costs £££'s in doing so.

In case anyone's interested, Panthers' approximate plus minus figures for the season were Schmidt +6, Lachowicz +10, Mosey +5, Berube +12, Parent 0, Lawrence +16, Farmer +13, Graham -5, Landry +23, Benedict -3, Oakford -2, Jacina +3, Lee +12, Doucet +7, Cohen -1, Wild +6, Higgins 0, Boxill +11, Robinson +4, Clarke +6, Cownie +1, Betteridge -2 Missing about four games and sometimes it was impossible to see from highlights exactly who was on the ice for the goal. Good work No.29

Yes, GM and Guiness thinking the same, unless... Guiness Man... Wash your mouth out Yotes! No idea when GM decided this might be a good idea, but I did email the suggestion through to all clubs on 6/march for consideration at the next board meeting (Panthers were the only ones that sent an acknowledgement back). Off topic, Anybody else notice the minutes from the last meeting have not been shared? ... I asked Chris Ellis via twitter why there was no summary minutes and he said he would try and find out. Back to GM, if he has bought into the suggestion I,m happy for him to carry the mantel and try and bring about an equalisation process to the league.

Really could do with Steve Lee getting back to get some ice time in before the play-offs.

At 46:31 Devils haven't taken a single penalty but have conceded 7 goals. Lord calls a time out, then it all goes crazy - what did he say at that time out? Go out and goon it up as that's exactly what they did. Potential for 3 suspensions in that 14 minutes. Lord and his team had completely lost control of themselves. Did they lose control, or was it a deliberate tactic/plan given that the points were lost at that point? If it was a tactic with a view to putting you off your game on Sunday it may well have back-fired given that you still went on to score 4 more goals, they didnt score any, and potentially they may have suspensions (none of the penalties were match penalties, so i'm hoping DOPS will leave that alone, but who knows!)

Rather we bring them back slowly and make a push for playoffs with a healthy team so please don't rush them in too early! They will need to get some games in to get match fit though kezy, so I'm hoping they'll all get some ice-time this weekend if the docs give them the thumbs up.

Cardiff and Sheffield just have to win all their remaining games to win the league and prise the prize away from Braehead. Will they be able to do it? No. Sent from my LG-D802 using proboards
