Quite happy with that, BUT don't give is the turgid crap we had to watch last season please, I wanna see a free flowing team that can score goals.

Bring back KWALL and get a fast high scoring team built! With a big no nonsense mobile defense!

I'm just glad this has been sorted out and the club can get on with sorting things out for next season. No doubt there's going to be plenty of debate as to whether this was the right choice or not - but at least a choice has been made.
Hopefully this will mean that we get a few key re-signings... like Lacho, Boxer, Doucet, Mosey, Wild - and K-Wall if he's fit. Getting the coaching role nailed down early could be vital in this respect.

Happy about this. Corey deserves the chance to turn things around after last season.
Here's hoping for a more Neilson-esque team this season!

clueless last two seasons and now he is rewarded with another year?... think the last two days shows where the ambition lies in the EIHL... so if we won the league last season you would be happy if we sacked him?

clueless last two seasons and now he is rewarded with another year?... think the last two days shows where the ambition lies in the EIHL... Yep, but we left it a few weeks (probably all on holiday) to make it seem like we were really thinking about it this time. Not at all happy. 2 years of utter rubbish, 1 league challenge in 7 goes, and we get business as usual. I dunno why I'm remotely surprised. The guff on that news story, "we almost made the final 4 of the playoffs", comical.

Mosey seemed to impress people with his speed, but he's just not the sort of quality we should have been after. He's a dual national, but this isn't that small a pool.

I think he's earned the right to another season.
I think sometimes people underestimate the impact injuries can have on teams in our league.
You won the league with a relatively healthy squad, as did Belfast the following season. Since winning the league you've had more than your fair share of injuries to key personnel and I think that's shown in results/performances.
Get Clarke back fit and you have a 30 goal a year player. That may well take some of the pressure of Lacho who seems to have struggled this season.
Last season was also a learning curve for all the coaches due to the smaller neutral zone. Maybe Corey went too much down the mobility route at the expense of size......If he's a smart coach he'll learn from that and adapt his squad to suit.....I guess time will tell.
Regards
Doom

Cory has been our most successful coach in the EIHL so happy to give him one more chance, but he needs to revert back to entertaining type hockey - as everyone has said we need a policeman to protect our players, although that may not have prevented a number of last seasons injuries it may have helped a little. - If Clarkie & Steve Lee are both fit then that will help - don't think any team had an outstanding season last year, so we were not alone - glad to have Mosey back, now for Doucet, KWall & a 100% committed Lawrence.

Unexpected by all including himself by the sounds of things and to have nosey back in not complaining, wasn't happy with last season do hoping he's been given a dressing down and told he needs to deliver, if the few quality players we had last season (Wild Killer Doucet Landry) sign and then we go for top end I'll be happy don't want anymore half arsed imports getting an easy ride
