No because that's personal. If people are of the opinion that Inginla is 'Insufferably Irritating' then they should block him. He may offer up mostly negative opinions but that's what they are, OPINIONS. You have a choice whether to engage him in debate, or not. Can you please provide instructions on how to block somebody? Go into the user's details (click on their name), in the top right should be a cog icon button, click that and there should be a block user option. I've no idea how well it works.

People need to leave ignila alone. This is a forum where people can offer opinions whether they be positive or negative, doesn't make them any less valid. Have you considered that ignila, like all of us, just want the panthers to win? He may be portrayed as negative but that's because he wants the signings we are capable of and our continued support and money deserve. I have been a season ticket holder for 5 years and I am already bored with the continual cycle of under recruiting, failed league campaigns and then stringing together a few games in a row to win a trophy. I want panthers to be the best they can be, season after season, for the passion that we show them to be reciprocated as opposed to yet another opportunity to make some money. I suspect ignila feels exactly the same. People can be positive, negative or indifferent but the common theme remains the same, we love the sport. But please can we try and do this whilst allowing people to have their own opinions. I couldn't have put it better myself. My opinion doesn't change and i doubt it ever will, despite all the flak i get on here. Panthers could do so so much more with ease, but they choose not to for some strange reason, whilst at the same time extracting the very last drop of effort, goodwill and money from anybody who will provide it. That is why i give them so much stick !

Makes me laugh when I hear that we could be the "Leicester City" if we are lucky when with our crowds and sponsorship we should be more like Real Madrid! The thing that exasperates this with a lot of long term fans is the distance the organization is from the fans, the continual banal and juvenile clichéd spin from GM head office and the pretty near silence in the off season which just makes the pretty near constant underachieving team a target for dissatisfaction. The Panthers organization could easily shut everyone up by actually punching their weight on the ice consistantly throughout the season. As for the team lets wait and see BUT things said like "You can't win the league every year!" We don't, we won it once and "Give the Panthers benefit of the doubt." Why? The Panthers office doesn't exactly have a good track record over the years do they? The spin is infantile and retarded, the social media side downright sucks and the news side taking pretty much the entire off season off is taking the pee. Fed up with excuses and the positive side needs to come more from the Pathers themselves.

People are focusing on goals scored a bit too much, obviously.. they win you games (Who'd have thought?) but the game is usually won at the back, by the goaltender and/or the defence. The only defences which i see as being better than our own is Cardiff, i'd say we are on par with Steelers and on par with Giants (assuming they sign a similar strenght defence to last season) whilst we look better at the back than the rest. We still have one final defenceman to sign, the 'stud' defenceman so whether it's a offensive defenceman or a stay at home defenceman, i'm not too fussed but who ever it is, it'll only make our defence better and give an already very solid goaltender a bit more solidarity in front of him.
As for goals though, there are several players who can and should score more, MacMillan, Lawrence, Lachowicz (God help him), Farmer, maybe even a couple more from Cam, and hopefully a few more from Schultz. Nikiforuk will get the best out of Schultz and Moran assuming they're on the same line but after Corey's interview it sounds as if Nikiforuk wil be playing Center. Explosive speed, skill and great playmaking attributes.. Just gotta get the others in the right position and let the red light do the rest. Carter should score quite a few, i'd be happy with 20-30 whilst Brown should add maybe 15, it'll be difficult for him to flop if he's on a line with Carter and Lawrence who historically have always been able to find the net. Betteridge may get a couple but given he's now the 13th Forward again, i'd expect a similar scenario to last season.
Sertich, Dimmen and Lindhagen will all throw another 10 or so goals on top of that with similar from Waugh and perhaps 5 from Lee and a couple from Oakford.
I'm happy on the goals front, lots of potential. I'm happy with our defence which still requires one more addition, despite looking solid enough. I'm very happy with Wiikman returning between the pipes. 15 Days to go, i'd be happy to have the puck dropped now with the team we've got.

Daft questions but has Chris Lawrence ever played on a line with his two mates? Everyone seems to have them as a set line but I cant say Ive seen anywhere where they have all been together with that 'chemistry' then again I havent delved very far but I'm sure some of you have? On a separate note its always interesting pre season to see who gets 'battered' and written off before we've even touched a puck. I along with all of you just want my team to do well but more often than not its the one player with the underwhelming stats etc that becomes the 'gem' and the 'stud' becomes the disappointment. I just genuinely hope the majority of them arrive for pre season and havent been given extra time off and only appear for the Scotland weekend because that weekend is going to be a real test. (hopefully not like the last triple header which was downright embarassing)

It's the same every off season with predictions. My only prediction is that we'll all watch some hockey and some fans will be happy and others won't be.
I don't think anyone who's a panthers fan here wants the team to fail. Like in life, some are optimists and some are pessimists. That's fine.
I like the looks of our team but I can also see why people wouldn't. I sometimes think newer fans forget what some of the older fans have gone through with what I would consider bad teams. So maybe I am more appreciative of this team. However, on the flip side, others have seen and teams and now with the money we have expect better. A view I can also understand.
And sometimes maybe the older fans forget that newer fans only know success and expect more from the team.

That's pretty much where I sit with it FS. Unless you are dealing with an offensive person (which Iginla is not!) then there really shouldn't be any need to use such a tool. At the end of the day they're just peoples' opinions.

As with all new players, I think it's best to wait and see how they perform. There's a long history of success and failure at the Panthers, with players being at odds with their stats and resumes. The worry for me is the British contingent. Our best Homegrown player of last season has returned, yet again to Cardiff, whilst we have re-signed a couple of massive under-achievers in Lachowicz and Lee. If they continue in the same vein then it will be a long season.

Myers coming back home is massive for us, as we all know he is a pretty good player, this coming season more than any other I believe we are the team to beat. I say that every year as some already know, but we sure are looking good. Panthers as always will be a force to be reckoned with, and our encounters will be as usual interesting to say the least. Anyway I wish all you guys a happy hockey season, we have waited a long time for this, and we welcome all you guys to our new home where you can see all the ice woo hoo, Anyway let's all enjoy the game we all love, HAPPY HOCKEY DAYS.

But i still think its yours to lose at this point.

Dont get me wrong they'll still be pushing top 4. But they've signed several players that were very 'meh' for them last year, and dont seem to have adressed their balance problems. They look to have spent up front but havnt done it as well as Cardiff or Sheffield.

But if Ulmer stays fit,the new goalie is good and with the conference advantage,I think Finnertys lot will take some beating.

Well I've been watching this team for 23 seasons & I'd have thought they'd have won more than one league championship in that time given but there we go. I have to agree with Doom regarding this team; Wiikman, if fully fit will be hugely important & I like the look of the defence men that Neilson has signed. Forwards I'm like warm too at this stage but I have always said that I'd rather watch low scoring games but win a league title.

Iginla is the 'negative' version of me! Completely delusional opinions.
As a season ticket holder at both the Panthers & Forest, we pay an incredibly low price for our credit card for an entire season, do we deserve the best signings? Probably. Are they always available? Not at all. Other teams have different roles to offer players which the Panthers do not, who knows if the new players are going to improve our team or not? Nobody does. Maybe wait a few games through the season to start writing off these players? I don't remember noticing Mosey until later on in the previous season.
All I can say is, welcome back hockey! I've missed you.

Delusional.....really ? Hardly delusional Titch for wanting your team to win and expecting Panthers to put in as much financial and other effort as the fans do. As Shinobi says above, one league title in all those years and that was in a year where to be honest the only other team of any note was Belfast.
We do deserve, the best signings yes. I don't know about you,but I'm sick and tired of watching Sheffield walk off with league titles, whilst smaller clubs like Cardiff who not long ago were in serious turmoil or Braehead who didn't even exist until recently finish above us.
My opinion of Panthers,is that they will do just enough to keep the ticket money rolling in,but will not go the extra miles needed to win the league.
As far as season ticket costs go,yes it's a fair price, but would I pay an extra £50 if I knew 100% all the extra money got spent on better players, yes I would like a shot. Should I have to pay that extra though.....no because they could easily afford them already if they wanted to spend it !
This years team will be solid, especially the defence which looks pretty good........will it have enough firepower up front though,I don't think so. I can see an SOS going out after a while or Kolnik coming back one way or another part way through the season.
It will be the reverse of last year, but this time it will be new forwards we need to bring in instead of Dmen !

It's been a bit of an Iginla hunt these past few days hasn't it!
I think enough has been said regarding the signing, disagreement, agreement and so on.
I still stand by my stuff, thinking we'll do well, happy with everyone etc.. Others don't agree, others are the opposite blah blah blah, but at the end of the day, we're all fans of the same team so can we just all start looking forward to the season together!? It's been over 4 months since we've seen Panthers play, and EIHL team play.. We're in the home stretch now, hockey is almost back! (This is where everyone cheers and celebrates with a beer)
