Actually looked at him whilst browsing in free time this morning and thought to myself that he'd be a stud in this league. Some will moan he hasn't played any NHL or AHL games but he's played in plenty of better euro leagues with a impressive points production, he gives us some speed and plenty of goals which is what we need. All I want to see now is a big crease-clearing left shot stay-at-home D man and I'll be happy with the roster we have!

Blah, blah blah. " Been on the radar for a couple of seasons. Beat several other EIHL teams to his signature. Hope to get the paper work sorted for the Neil Black is God Cup." And most importantly, "tickets now avaliable." Looks a good signing but could do without the copy and paste write up.

I don't want to sound like a doubter and bring more gloom to the forum but IF this is Kolnik's replacement then I am a bit dissapointed. Kolnik was a game changer and I was expecting a big resume player to come in if he didn't return, I'm not saying Nikiforuk won't do well but will he be of the same calibre that Kolnik was?
Anyway welcome to Nottingham Alex, make me eat my words

I hoped for better, his points compared to the others signed from Italy are a lot lower if that counts for anything. From the looks of him we've down graded from Kolnik.
Lawrence and Schultz may have to have an outstanding year if scoring will be an issue.
Wait and see signing he looks good on paper just not as good as i hoped.

He's got a point a game wrote all over him.
Sadly I think we needed more.

Looks a very good signing. The Swiss b league is a hell of a lot better than this one. With his speed her should be ideal on the big ice surface and the 3 on 3. Looking at his points/goals output over 40-45 games a season he could manage 30 goals here if he plays 60 odd games.
In schultz Carter and this guy we have decent offence

Looking at those highlights he plays on his off-wing, so RH playing LW. Corey says he's a playmaker and the highlights show some good plays, if he's playing with Moran and Schultz on a line then I definitely think Corey is pinning his hopes on Schultz being our leading scorer

I've just spoke to a fan of Fischtown Pinguins and he speaks of him very highly, says his speed and acceleration is top notch and that it's a key part of his game, which has proven to reap the rewards whilst playing with them and at other teams.
Very happy with the signing, if you're disappointed then go watch another sport. Even though he played there for longer, Nikiforuk's stats in the NLB are better than Kolnik's. He's excelled in Denmark and Italy, leagues on par or slightly better than the EIHL, done very well in the DEL, DEL2 & Liiga.
Whilst he isn't as experienced as Kolnik, he comes to us having played the previous season in a higher quality league (Kolnik was in the LNAH prior) and lots of people have spoken very highly of him from what i've seen, some infact saying they're surprised he left Fischtown as they're now in the DEL and he's easily still of that kind of quality. Continuing the comparisson with Kolnik, who i'm sad to see leave, he's quicker and looks to be more driven that Kolnik was, pouncing into open spaces and jumping on rebounds, this guy moves like a Panther and kills (Scores) like one too.
His size could be a worry but his speed may just counter that, and with Cam noting numbers down from the bench of potential targets, you'd expect him to be dealt with fairly if they get the chance!
I'd expect him to be on par with the production levels we saw from Doucet in his first season in the EIHL, strong statement but Nikiforuk reeks potential and excitement.

What are you basing that on? I'm assuming that you have watched him play live and have analysed his game to come to a conclusion on how effective he will be in the EIHL? Or is it because you went on elite prospects, didn't see any AHL games and got hideously beside yourself with excitement because you have provided yourself with an opportunity to whinge? No one has any real idea how any of these players will perform in the EIHL, pack in your endless negativity because I'm sure I'm not the only one that is absolutely sick of it!

When i see quality arrive then i will tell you so. The only one of that ilk on this years roster so far is Sertich. Until Panthers start giving us what we should have i will continue whinging !
