iginla you are beyond boring. I note that Mosienko, who is a quality player in the EIHL, was heavily outscored by Nikiforuk whilst at Esbjerg, and like PantherB has already pointed out he outscored Kolnik in the NLB. Kolnik and Mosienko now there are two more 'average' players.

Average? What are you basing that on? I'm assuming that you have watched him play live and have analysed his game to come to a conclusion on how effective he will be in the EIHL? Or is it because you went on elite prospects, didn't see any AHL games and got hideously beside yourself with excitement because you have provided yourself with an opportunity to whinge? No one has any real idea how any of these players will perform in the EIHL, pack in your endless negativity because I'm sure I'm not the only one that is absolutely sick of it! When i see quality arrive then i will tell you so. The only one of that ilk on this years roster so far is Sertich. Until Panthers start giving us what we should have i will continue whinging ! And of course, you're the be all and end all of knowing a quality hockey player.

Very happy with the signing, if you're disappointed then go watch another sport. What a ridiculous comment. You'd only be disappointed if your expectations are excessively high or you (not you in particular) don't quite grasp the quality of Nikiforuk.

Some people on here just love to be negative, have some faith and give the team a chance. When we signed Beckett he got ripped early turned out to be vital, Kwall was a replacement and came in with below .900 save percentage look at how that turned out. We've had many players get judged pre season and turn out to be top players, we've got toughness, grit, goals and with one more d man to come in a pretty solid back line. We've no idea what the line will be like we might see players form impressive pairings or trios. Role on September, get them fit over pre season and hit the ice fired up

I'm sorry but I don't think it's for you to be telling other people how to feel or even more so that they shouldn't be watching the sport. I'm sure this lad will be a good player, he has a quality cv after all but it's up to me whether or not I'm disappointed with this signing and the roster. It's certainly not up to you to tell me how I should feel or what I should be doing.

I don't see how having 1.33 PPG in Denmark, 1.32 PPG in Italy and 0.92 PPG in DEL 2 can be seen as disappointing. Its comparable or better the than the so called big signings that other teams have made that some have been mentioning as superstars on this forum.

Looks a great signing... I think most on here (including myself) immediately look to Kolnik as the comparison and its not fair on Alex.
In recent years he's been teammates with & easily out-scored people such as Rob Sirianni & Tyler Mosienko, plus he's been his teams top point scorer in most seasons. This guy looks like he'll perform without issue... The issue/risk lies on the shoulders of others in the roster.

Our radar must be the size of Jodrell Bank. Where the heck do we hide it?

So we've been patient all off season, waited, waited and waited some more for the supposed better players becoming available have we ? And then just as predicted we got errr.....average ! You previously agreed with the statement that Layne Ulmer was the signing of the season. Ulmer: Italy: 1.22ppg DEl: 0.48ppg Nikiforuk: Italy: 1.32ppg DEL: 0.59ppg Nikiforuk = average...? Well which is it, signing of the seaon or bang average??? Your constant negativity is really boring and predicable. Im not bouncing off the walls excited but i think this guy will be solid. Speed kills in this league.

...by the way, for next season someone should set up a game of 'Gary Moran Bingo'! Look out for gems such as:
'Corey's chased him for years'. 'Beaten off interest from EIHL/European teams' 'The louder the roar' 'Club spokeswomen said...'

The last couple of signings have been excellent, the standard I expect for our entire squad. Hopefully we'll have a few more like this to come.

What I am now finding even more perplexing is the lack of news on Kolnik. If he wasn't returning then the last 2 press releases were ideal to let us know that. I can only asume one of 2 things. 1, Panthers are unhappy with how he has conducted himself and are thus going to prentend like he never existed(wouldn't be the first time). Or 2, He is returning and we are either going with a Spare. Or we arer going with 13 forwards and 6 Dmen(I would be happy with this if one of our current import D was the big stay at home man we need. There isn't one though and we really need one).
Imagine adding Kolnik to the forwards already signed & being able to flex the D with a big Dman too. Now that would be a serious team.

If kolnik hasn't decided either way, there is only 1 way to convince him £££. Give him what he wants, make his mind up. Get it done!

Something that I've just thought about in regards to why he hasn't progressed to the higher levels i.e. NLA, AHL, SHL, could be due to his small stature, that can be a disadvantage in a lot of people's eyes. So long as he's got the skills though I'm happy and I'm pleased with him as our last forward, oh and I've got a feeling our powerplay will be firing this year

Nikiforuk is our final forward, confirmed in the radio interview with Corey so just one D man left to sign or announce now. Hoping it's a big, experienced left shot, crease clearing stay-at-home D man.

If Kolnik does return plus a d man who's sitting out? Depends on whos fully fit and the opponents. Against a top team i'd look to drop a forward. Based on what we know probably Brown or Carter. It would realistacaly come down to resting injuries. There will be dips in form and people that need to sit occasionally. Even if you were to do a rotation(not that i'm suggesting we should) players would only miss a game every 14 or so. Only sitting around 4 games through the season. The reality is the other reasons above are likely to play a part anyway so we would largely go with who is fittest. Sods law we'd have a spare from the start and have barely any issues with injuries. Be nice to find out though.

It's certainly not up to you to tell me how I should feel or what I should be doing. Try telling that to the majority of people on the site who constantly moan about stuff, spreading their excessively negative ideology. Quite fed up of people calling signings average or below average, not what we need, could do better etc.. which is just as bad as what i've said, it kills the excitement of the season having people dismiss the signings and team before doing any actual research on them or even giving them a chance. It's almost as if excitement only comes to some people on here if they've got NHL to their name, and a change of underwear is probably suitable for those people upon signing players with said experience. It was more of a suggestion than a demand anyway.
