As I remember him he was a skilful winger. He loved to go at defences and had good speed. As MP states - he wasnt frightened to get stuck in too. Top notch signing.

Well the wife and I really enjoyed the day. Loved the beginners game and particularly when we came back from 4-1 down. I think Jonno went into overdrive then. It was great to see the guys faces when they had scored - living the dream eh - Nearly broke out into a 'Jonno is our hero' lol. Looking at the line up of the intermediates we feared the worst as our petite line up faced the goliaths of the steelers. But our fears subsided as the girls took over and ran the show. I take my hat off to you ladies !!!. NEM at one point you were taking the panthers on single handed and you did great. The seniors game was most enjoyable particularly watching a couple of the steelers guys - Oliver (who was outstanding) Law and another guy who scored a couple of goals. Was well worth the journey over although was slightly disappointed at the size of the crowd. Special congrats to the organisers Nem, I think Mary Jonno and HelenB. WELL DONE. And to all those who ummed and arrred about going - You missed a great day.

i'd much rather see us play coventry on boxing day than the steelers..last season coventry was a much better game all of em at our place. You are right. However our thinking may be clouded somewhat by the fact that we actually won some of those games unlike the games against shuff

Had to say i laughed so hard at this news, and even harder at what you guys have now given me as an image in my head. Anyways, cant wait for shuff to try and push any kind of authority on a match against us. i can imagine it now. Cornish leaves the bench, pushes the smallest player on the ice, turns around to find a shmyr baring down upon him. He gets creamed for his wrong doings, leaving us to play hockey and win. Stop me if im wrong but wasnt it your goodself who had reliable PR information that Mr Cornish was heading to Nottingham. And that information brought cries of joy from from Steelers fans who post here. Apologies if Im wrong All good imo. Yeh, I would expect the same outcome as happened in Viper land last year when that happened - Win Cornish, or have you lot forgotten? Matts. That was in fact made up from start to finnish with one explicit aim in mind. That aim was achieved and it died instantly... There are a couple on here who where 'in' on it and can back this up.

The league without a shadow of doubt!. The slog of playing through 54 games with decisions evening themselves out shows that the cream rises to the top. The Blaze were worthy champions. It would be fabulous to see the Panthers named scribed on the trophy in the place marked 2007/08.
