I actually feel a bit sorry for Todd Kelman (incredible I know!).
This seems like a winner on all sides. It's not that far from belfast for the fans to travel, it's a suitable rink, there is just no ice at The O and it helps push the Giants brand further south, maybe there are people who don't know much about hockey down in Dundalk who will go to a game who wouldn't travel up to Belfast to try something new. A chance to spread the net, seems like a great opportunity and the Giants making the most of their hand being forced.
Fair play to them I say.

Very open and honest. The rest of the league take note.

I like the idea, if the likes of Sheffield or Hull did the same and played some games in Leeds (less than an hours travelling), I reckon the fan base would open right up, this can only be good for the sport.
Would Panthers fans do the same travelling?, what if a new arena was built out at EMA, would you all go?
And go easy on Todd Kelman, a lot of his dislike for Nottingham comes from his experiences of one man at our club. Need I say more.

I think its a good idea to push the brand into the South. Not sure I ever agree with this ice-time argument though. Now used by Belfast as well as Shuff and ourselves for various reasons for not wanting to do something (KOC in our case, 2 men and a dog turning up for mid week league games in Shuffs case) HL

Would Panthers fans do the same travelling?, what if a new arena was built out at EMA, would you all go? Yeh! It takes me half the time to get to EMA that it does to get to Lower Parliment Street HL

And that's the 'Bottom Line' because Todd Kelman said so!

Very honest, not sure the use of swear words albeit minor is relevant tho!

Wrong probably, but it seems to be the case that moving a team in most sports appears to somehow change the identity, at least from the fans' perspective.

Just so disappointing that this has to happen. On the basis of Ice-Hockey not being able to have a clean run of fixtures and thus existance is in the news again.

Did anyone notice the advertisement to the right of Todd Kelman's picture? It reads: 'Zoom Airlines - Low cost flights from the United Kingdom to Canada. Book your flights now' Coincidence? or was it borrowed from the Steelers Playoff News Archive??
