This response is a little disappointing… especially as the article says additional ticket info to come later today, I feel like you’ve jumped the gun a bit. As we’ve said with most things in the past fortnight, exercising some patience is key. I've not really said anything to critical of the club. My main motivation for the post is that I want it to be sold out. Worried that it not being a league game on the ST may impact that. It'd be pretty aweful if it were played in front of 3,000 due to some not being able to afford to pay to go. Being a Saturday night will also drag in many that may not be as respectful as they should be. But I get that, that date was in the diary anyway. 3,000 true hockey fans wouldn't be the end of the world though. I think its a great idea to have a warm up game before stepping back in. As it's a memorial game I expected to see that ticket sales would go to the Fundraiser. That's all, nothing more. They've done an amazing job up to now in very difficult circumstances. I just want this to be as perfect as can be. This has just raised a few concerns with me that it may not be. I think at £10 a ticket and given the circumstance I don’t think you’ll be disappointed at the crowd. The event will be well supported. With it being a memorial game, ST means less money coming in for the fund however much the percentage of proceeds is. You may not have been directly critical it was just a disappointing response when the full information is not yet available

A little dissapointed for it not being a ST game. That would have all but ensured a sell out. It's good to see the pricing is reasonable and i'm sure demand with be high. I'm not entirely convinced it will sell out even with that pricing. No mention of ticket profits going to Adams fundraiser as it stands. Perhaps that'll be the case to be revealed in time. This response is a little disappointing… especially as the article says additional ticket info to come later today, I feel like you’ve jumped the gun a bit. As we’ve said with most things in the past fortnight, exercising some patience is key.

So it sounds like they're going to return to the ice, and return to the league games You'd like to think so from that. I think they'd have made one annoucement if they were to pull out of the league aswell. If it means 5 or 6 new signings i'd expect them to find a way to complete the league campaign. All players will be dealing differently, but personally I can see all but 3 or 4 staying. We already know Luca Sheldon has played a game, albeit he wasn't in Sheffield that night. Bjorkland I think will play based on the way he spoke. 2 or 3 are still here and have been seen fairly relaxed. Going to play golf etc(which is more than reasonable, they all need some normality and distraction). My guess at most lkely not to return would be Neimenen. Purely on his involvement in the incident. It would be great to see all of them come back to "do it for Adam" and Black give them the additional on ice support to do that. I think we all already know they will be ready at different times, which is uderstandable. Perhaps we'll see somebody like Neimenen struggle and be all but gone, but then decide he fancies getting back in perhaps February time. Otto is at least back in Nottingham today going by social media which is a positive sign that if nothing else he wants to be around the team. I am genuinely so proud of how they are all doing and sticking with each other as they all navigate such a difficult situation. That is imperative for them as they come to terms with what happened in life in general, never mind the hockey.

Exercising some element of patience is key here, many factors to consider regarding the further postponements with the foremost thing to consider being the welfare of our players but a statement will come in due course I am sure of that.

Seen on twitter that the Fife Flyers OSC raised £2300 towards the memorial fund last night. This is a superb effort from all involved!

Made the decision to go to Blaze vs Stars tonight (it’s where I was needing to be in a personal level) and everything the blaze did was on the money to honour Adam.
The staff and fans were so welcoming to us and all the other panthers fans. A nice tribute area pregame, an area where people could have a safe space if they were struggling. The pregame speech, silence and applause was impeccably observed
And on minute 47 there was a standing ovation followed by the playing of Seven nation army.
Blaze can be proud of the part they played in the tribute to Adam!

I imagine there will be numerous events & things to continue from the club in the coming days/weeks. I hope people remain patient and understanding of those tasked with dealing with everything as it will take a lot of thought and consideration (especially to respect the wishes of his family) to honour Adam in the way he deserves.

Does anyone actually care about this game or result? Half a serious question LOL In a sense could not care less… but also would like to see us break the skid of losses in competitive games against them. And selfishly would like to see us qualify from the group stage as it might mean some more work for me.

Quite a few of the signings this year have been news to everyone when announced. I can't imagine OP isn't looking, at the very least. Well the much rumoured Alex Wideman never signed for anyone in the end so... 😅 Just because it was much rumoured doesn’t mean there was any weight to it.

I echo the sentiments that the team whilst maybe lacking behind the big teams definitely has something, especially compared to last year. Not being rattled by going behind and then giving up the equaliser and professionally completing the win is a good sign. We rolled over in these games last year so the right attitude is there.
I also do absolutely agree that we need reinforcements (should be coming soon) to help support this start we’ve had, if we leave it too late as we have in the past we could then struggle to catch up or build on the start we’ve had in the league.
It’s also nice to see the contribution coming from multiple places on the game sheet. It will be good to not be reliant on just a couple of players as the season progresses.

Pity we don’t have any non panthers media coverage. When talking to Parades about being 2 men down, you’d expect an interviewer to ask if anything is being done to bring someone in. No idea how long Ryczek is out for either. Nothing said on that. Should we read anything into McKenzie not being on the bench? Perhaps not rated by this coach? Might as well cancel that if he’s not going to feature at all. Not looking for the coach to be grilled, just his thoughts on these sort of questions that the fans are interested in. The issue with ZM I don’t believe lies with the fact the coach doesn’t rate him, I think it is more we’re seemingly on the wrong end of the 2 way deal and don’t have first dibs

I know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but the decision to release 2 of our brightest Brit prospects - Archie Hazeldine & Jack Hopkins during the summer is now looking a disastrous one! No one could have foreseen this terrible injury to Tetlow, and I hope he makes a full and speedy recovery, but it really has exposed the lack of depth we have in competitive British players. Perhaps one solution would be to try and negotiate a 2-way arrangement for a Brit D-man currently playing in the NIHL? One such, with strong Nottingham connections, is Joe Gretton, currently with the Peterborough Phantoms. He has a reputation for being quite combative too, so he could be a shrewd addition to a squad that is undoubtedly fast and skillful, but prone to being physically intimdated / dominated at times? Other than that on the Brit front, is it worth checking out the extent of Logan Neilson's defensive skills? He certainly has the family pedigree; size and attitude! With starting on the 4th line this season, his icetime has been limited when we have been short-benched, as the Coach has tended to roll just the 3 lines, with Logan and Jordan getting slotted in where needed, to provide some respite. We have got Zaine McKenzie on a 2-way contract so might be able to utilise him a bit more. Telford actually have first dibs on his availability I believe, I think this was the issue we faced during Betteridge/Kelsall’s recent injuries. If that is the case then we need to look to restructure the deal so we get first choice, otherwise it’s not really a true 2-way

The year we won the league comes to mind off the top of head. 6 returning Imports 8 returning Brits 10 years then that is absolutely horrific It’s actually only slightly better, I think from 15/16 - 16/17 we did retain 5 or more but absolutely not on the level of the way top teams retain a core… and that’s before you delve into how effective those players may be

Embarrassing. They took the puck off us anytime they liked. We are only doing well in the league because we have played more matches than the big teams and have only played the smaller ones. God help us against Belfast. I agree with your assessment of the game last night. Steelers are ahead of us in every department. To this seasons results…Those smaller teams are ones we struggled to beat last year and routinely suffered heavy defeats it seemed. In all reality we are not competing with Belfast or Sheffield. However we have an opportunity to try and build a new core/momentum that’s why it’s important we act sooner rather than later with an addition and some tweaks so we could realistically be aiming for as high a finish as possible through this season and not scrapping in the lower third like last.

I think what the club does with personnel will tell the tale for the season. We need to get to a position (as Sheffield have done) where there is a decent core. If we start again every year, there’s no chance. I’ve been saying this all along and it’s absolutely key. Keep chopping and changing coaches and wholesale squad changes and we’ll be stuck at square one no matter who we have I totally agree that we need to start building a core and have a bit more long term planning. However looking at this season in isolation and specifically the league form. We have actually had a decent start, we could do with making some tweaks or an addition (running a spare/extra isn’t the worst idea). In the past we make these decisions too late and can never catch up or keep up with teams.

I believe Luca has been injured in training, concussion, if I remember rightly so I assume he will be out of commission for a couple of weeks. And Mr. Ballinger then used as injury replacement for Mr Sheldon I guess. Wonder if Elite will confirm this in a later report/list of comings and goings. Why would you need elite to confirm this when it was confirmed as the exact situation by panthers in the previews of the game last weekend?

The result is important in the sense of keeping some momentum going.
It is imperative we put on a better show than we did in the previous meeting with Steelers at home. Yes it is about time we got a win against them in a competitive game but no matter the result we need to be giving a better account of ourselves against them!

I know there are question marks about how we're performing, but that's 8 points out of a possible 10. Same return as the Steelers. I think we need some roster changes, but at least we're still getting points ATM. Myself, I was thinking, we are not winning these well but then again we are winning. Not the regulation needed, as we are giving points away also. Only a worry as top teams may be taking the two in regulation. But two is two and I’d be happy to hear we win ALL in OT then up to us to beat our ‘classed’ arena sides. In OT again if you like. Who ordered the word salad?!?

These games ain't a jolly for the fans to see the Scottish countryside.. they are supposed to be business for a player to win 4 points from.. 5 hour bus journeys are so wee pee league! Imagine a team who took things seriously and got the plane up! Someone tell me I'm wrong and I'm over reacting You're absolutely right, what business have panthers fans got wanting to catch any other away game other than Sheffield or Coventry. It's a disgraceful attitude for which I truly apologise. There’s a double header in Scotland in November. “Hey ho” you could just go to that one

I know people will focus on their view on the officials etc, The main reason we made hard work of that was struggling to finish our chances. We should’ve been out of sight by the 30 minute mark of the game and the fact we weren’t allowed stars to grow in confidence which led to the equaliser

. A dreadful officiating display tonight. Missed the spear form our player, which will probably result in a ban, and looking at the big screen it certainly looked like the Dundee player punched the puck across to their goal scorer. Plus a sprinkling of soft calls and missed calls, great night from them… It was more off the upper arm than punching across (in real time it looked more as you describe) also as soon as it deflected off Rok any way after that perceived infraction it was nullified which is why the goal was given in my view without knowing the specific rule.

Very good job in nullifying Cardiff for large parts, kept them to the outside, closed them down well on the forecheck and won the battles around the net the 3 important times.
Silly penalty at the end made the score line closer than in reality it should’ve been, at no point did we ever seem in danger.
This is the level of work rate we need to see each game, much better than last week and the right response at home, just a shame it wasn’t in front of a bigger crowd/better atmosphere.

Why is it annoying he's giving his opinion It just seemed a bit defeatist. Stating it at the back end of the season I can understand, but saying it when we’re three games in, and have played as we have, doesn’t fill me with much hope I’ll admit Unless he’s playing mind games… I suppose it just depends how’s you look at it. Nothing wrong with your opinion in thinking it’s defeatist you’re entitled to that. However for me with him saying that to me shows he has done his prep, is not underestimating the challenge the game will pose to us.

Friction between the coaching staff and at least some of the players already? Heard this all too frequently in recent seasons so hopefuly it isn't true this time. IF it is true there's only one way it will go... Anyone else heard this? What’s your source on this? It doesn’t seem like this would be the case from what I’ve seen so far, the squad and staff certainly give the perception of togetherness, more so than previous years imo.
