Not the one we were looking for..... From Panthers official website "Young British defenceman James Hutchinson who hails from the north-east and is with Peterborough in the EPL this year has signed today on a two-way deal and will add some extra depth to the Nottingham line-up. The 23-year-old skated with the team this morning." how many young brits will be on your bench tonight ? we may have to extend the benches ;D ;D Trying to compensate for the lack of imports perhaps?

As some may have seen the Steelers have obtained some of the Sheffield Arena Suites and we can sell these at £200 (for 12 people including admission and match programmes) If your interested then either call Mike O'Connor (0114 242 3535) or e-mail mike@sheffieldsteelers.co.uk I actually saw on the website that there where Suits available, i assume this offer has been swapped for the suites instad??

Oh yea, and for all the players who read this forums (a bit sad but I'll forgive you). SORT YOUR SELVES OUT AND DO NOT DISGRACE THE FANS AGAIN THE WAY YOU HAVE BEEN DISGRACING US LATELY. thats them well and truly told, I'm sure you've just accomplished what the coach couldn't with that one message!

Askey was MOM for me, Pelletier right up there with him, If the rest of the team worked as hard as him i would be happy regardless of the scoreline. I do hope the rest of the team were saving themselves for Wednesday! PS: how we going to wind Tessier up? do you rekon i'll be let in with a set of golf clubs? Yeah great tactic, worked wonderfully last year, i think we where the only team he scored goals against!

I notice its always the same arguements too
1) Deal in facts! you don't KNOW we are breaking the cap (oh come on you couldn't afford Blue Bennerfield, now you can afford Tess?)
2) Other teams are doing it! (Yes but to the same extent? it doesn't seem likely!)

I don't quite know how you can make suggestions at this stage of the season. Those that did the same last year would have gassed Corey, and we all know now how good he is. What if we bring in a centre who clicks straight away with both Molin and Wallenberg and they run riot through the league? A defenceman that pairs up with Stancok, and become the stongest defensive pairing we have ever seen. What if McAslan does not score again this season, despite what line you put him on, or Askey carries on from this weekend and his save percentage drops down to 90%? There seems to be too many what if, how long and where next threads flying around at the moment, The next one will probably should I go for a curry or a pizza after the game on Sunday night. Curry definitely ;D

oh you mean Te$$ then mark sorry shuff have got that one legged dwarf? Let's slow down for one second. You keep calling him Te$$. If you were given the opportunity to switch jobs for more money, you'd take it in an instant. Very hypocritical of you Oldman. Very bold statement there Upshall, are you professing to know all about "Oldman" and his job choices, be careful what u say on Forums, Julian learned to his cost that careless talk can come back to haunt you.

I know what you're saying Rich, but i know alot of people who won't go to hockey because of the fights so it works both ways! A LOT or a Few? I hear what you are saying but to quote the commentary team on NHL 08 "more people come for the fights than stay away because of them. Ladies and gentleman of the jury, I rest my case"! I'd say a fair few tbh Rich, I don't mind the fights but they do put people off, i also think they put alot of media companies off from promoting the sport and only turns up in magazines with a picture of a fight with some snide comment attached.

The brawl featured on Sky Sports News this morning. 378 PIMS handed out. Ace, hockey made sky sports news. Cue the usual moaners that only fights make TV over here. Its true, but I dont think non hockey fans will sit up and watch Brodeur doing his stretches or Zetterberg doing his crossovers at centre ice.... This is what happens when you discourage fights, things spill over and get nasty! I know what you're saying Rich, but i know alot of people who won't go to hockey because of the fights so it works both ways!

Good point Sambo, but that doesn't stop the same players thinking 'stuff this I'm off'! If that happens, they will be in deep excrement! I know what you're saying but it never works like that, the players are on easy street here and wont put the rest of their season in jeopardy by quitting the club at this stage. Unless they're offered a big cheque from a certain club down the m1! Ellis get on the phone to Steve's Mum!

I don't see how incessant drumming is an appealing idea for the NIC, the one and only time i went down to Basingstoke a few seasons ago i got so annoyed with the continual mindless rhythm i was sure i was going to eviscerate someone!

What? Hey look, people put forward their views on the game, I did the same and get attacked from all angles. If people can't handle differences of opinion then I suggest they don't bother posting on here. I simply felt that the game wasn't worth the money I paid for it as the players didn't really bother. Is there anyone disagreeing with that? Maybe you're getting frustrated because I'm actually giving some home truths about the beloved players. I'm going to disagree, they did what they had too, we all know that Hull will sit back and absorb pressure (ala last season!) but we came with a defensive game and won, I don't care about a warm fuzzy feeling or going away feeling thoroughly entertained, its sport first entertainment a distant second in my view. All i care about winning! And we did and i went away a happy chap. The only criticism i have is that Wally should have put away at least 2 more with the amount of breakaways he had! EDIT: Mark is right this isn't a personal attack it is my opinion, which i am entitled too as is Sambo!

What i don't understand is this, if their is a contract breach by the council/pi why is it not being contested by the Devils? The Devils sent the invoices to the council to show that planet ice were in breach of the contract we had with planet ice. The council told Planet ice to charge us 'maintenance costs' instead of 'ice time' again milkman its quite simple, the Devils had a deal for sponsership, if we had been given it we would have been fine. It didnt come through. Is it really that difficult to understand and not keep throwing the living beyond your means stuff? Fair enough so they found a loop hole by the looks of it!
