Germany beat Portugal, i only caught the end of it but seemed like the more rounded German team beat the flair of the Portuguese

Germany in first 30minutes controlled the game, then portugal came into it.
But 2-0 down after 26min is hard to overcome.
Got 20points for fantasy team today, not shabby at all.

Germany beat Portugal, i only caught the end of it but seemed like the more rounded German team beat the flair of the Portuguese Portugal conceded 2 virtually identical goals from set pieces. Also for all their flair they lack a real cutting edge. Turkey are in the semi's and god only knows how. They have been awful for the most part. I hope that their brand of football goes no further and Germany make it to the final. 2 Predictions for the remaining Quarter's Holland to edge out Russia. Italy to edge out Spain

dont you think one half of the draw had far less quality than the other, to win this spain need to beat italy and the winner from holland and russia and with the other we have a germany turkey semi after they beat croatia and portugal!

Spain wont win the tournament due to their defence being poor, i can just sense the Dutch will win the thing now The Dutch defence is worse than Spain's.. Spain have two of best defenders in the world in Ramos and Puyol. People are getting a bit carried away with the Dutch i feel they are peaking now and its a bit too early in the tournament. Jesus its hard being right..

Hmm Russia are playing some really nice football at the moment, if they keep playing this way then who knows? I think somehow Italy are going to sneak through tonight, its not going to be pretty but they will, knowing them, just stop Spain playing and sneak it 1-0

Holland had peaked just as I expected. Things may have been different with Robben but they were what I thought they were.
Italy are frickin' boring it's untrue. I really hope Spain knock them out.

Because from what ive seen Russia are better than spain CLICK!!Obviously better.. Russia started off slow, plus Spain had to play some soak up counter attacking football against Russia, the score line was flattering. Russia are on fire now, i dont see spain beating them so easily if at all this time around.

Russia could quickly pop. I'd make Spain faves against them though it is tight. Hiddink always said this was a prep tourney and he's built the side for 2010.
Spain should start Cesc. He now looks better than Xabi and Iniesta and that is high praise. He's a good bet for the Prem's Player of the Year in 2009.
