Just hope Chris Pronger, has a suspension coming! Nice to see justice has been done, & he got a 1 game suspension.

Gutted...absolutely GUTTED!. We lose 3- 2 @ Scotiabank Place, & now we head back to Anaheim 3 - 1 down in the series. Apart from his 'poachers' goal tonight, Heatley has been by & large invisible in this series, as has Spezza. No qualms about tonights result, other than the 1st period, Ducks totally owned us. It's gonna take a major miracle for us to pull this back now. I am at work Wednesday night, & will miss the game, I'll be poo-ing bricks all night!

Can t beleive that Mickey mouse team are one win away from the cup, wonders never cease I'm sure many people also couldn't believe that Detroit won a Stanley cup with Chris Osgood as the starting goalie. Stop being a bad loser. Anaheim are a good team with a great goalie. Good luck to them.

Hey thats exactly what I thought, I was led to beleive years ago thats you needed a solid nettie to win championships.... well we broke that tradition big time

Thought the Sens D and Nettie was terrible for the GW goal. Emery went out too far leaving the whole goal to shoot into.
I just feel that the Senators have too much to do to collect Lord Stanley's pot now!

I thought the usually sound play of Volchenkov was dreadful too, especially on the second goal conceeded.
Ottawa don't seem to have any sense of urgency.

i want to know what on earth alfredson was thinking at the end of the second period! nothing to gain by shooting the puck at niedermayer and again the shocking refereing in the series continues by not penalising him and calling another non call for goaltender interference if hes out the crease and the player tries to jump over the goalie, wheres the interference? there was none just emery over exagurating the contact.

Yeah I thought it was kinda' petty and dumb. I'm surprised that Alfredsson did what he did...He's a quaility player but I guess maybe it was just frustration?!

theres a line that a professional should know though between frustration and stupidity.

My sincere congratulations to the Anaheim Ducks...you totally outclassed & out played us. Not one single qualm about the result (Shocking 6 - 2 loss. Cheers Alfie, nice to see one of our top line look interested) last night., or the fact that indeed the far superior team have lifted the Holy Grail. ENJOY! Still, it doesn't stop me feeling totally gutted & flat today. Here's to doing it all again in the NHL next season.

Very dissappointed in Ottawa for not putting in a better show in the finals, we gave the ducks their best and toughest series by far only to be beat by one man, such a bitter pill to swallow knowing that could and perhaps should have been us.
Ones things for certain , with the cap going up and as Anahaim are one of the lower market teams, they ll find it tough to hold on to their UFA`s this summer and may struggle next year like most SC holders

Ottawa were terrible in the finals. Emery went from red hot to ice cold in 3 days! Alfredsson was the only megastar that bothered to show up. Where were Heatley and Spezza?

I think Ducks are a damn fine team and have been for a few seasons now, i dont think that they will be a small market team for much longer

Most people in Anahaim don t know what hockey is or don t have a interest in it, it will take them a long time to become a huge franchise and if the cap goes up they will find it hard to hold onto their best players tbh

Sour grapes anyone? Anaheim were impressive throughout the playoffs they only lost five games against some good teams. Lets hope they bring stanley with them in September! Congrats to the Ducks and their fans.

I don't actually think Anaheim are that much better than Ottawa, it's just the no show of Spezza & Heatley coupled with a lack of intensity cost them.
Given how much the Sens toiled with LaLime in net, I thought they'd actually win it this year as Emery is a much better goalie.
Oh well, can't say I'm disappointed Ottawa choked. Again.
;D
