OH MY GOD!! Just finished watching the re-run of last nights game. I did originally stay up to watch the game 'LIVE' on NASN late night/early this morning, but after the 1st period of 20 mins overtime, & seeing as it was 4.30 am...I had to admit defeat & hit the sack. I was shaking watching the re-run just now, but was dancing like a loon when Joe Corvo bounced that puck into the net. To have a 2 - 0 lead in the series, & with the next 2 games being back @ Scotiabank Place, ya really do have to fancy us to win the conferrence, & make it to the Stanley Cup final. Shin... I REALLY hope the Emery to the Leafs rumour is just that...a rumour! Buffalo came out guns blasing in the first 10 mins and i really thought they'd take this one. i hadnt planned to watch the whole game but having seen the first period i stayed up and heard the birds singing before i went to bed. Great result for Ottawa really think they've got buff on the ropes surely the momentum will carry them through.

The Ducks even the series 1 - 1, with an o/t win at the Joe. I am still with Don Cherry...It's a Ducks V SENS final in my opinion. Soz Pidge mate.

Oh well we live to fight another day, this one could go to the wire but our main priority is to get home ice advantage back

Ottawa taking a 3-0 lead in the series, surely their is no coming back from this for buffalo - have they peaked to early it seems so! Ottawa's #1 line is looking unstoppable and tonight although it was a 1-0 win IMO they made the Sabres look ordinary, i was expecting a comfortable ottatwa win but by this rate it'll be a 5 game series max.
One stat i found out is that in a year endng '7' the winning playoff team has been canadian or detroit. gotta please pdige or Heatley!

We all know Buffalo aren't a bad OR ordinary side, is that the key to us being a GOOD side.. we made them look ordinary? Due to having a busy work day today, I wasn't able to stay up and watch the game like I normally would. So PLEASED with seeing the result this morning. We aint there yet...but I am so soddin' well staying up to watch the game Thursday night, I might just have to have a sickie on Friday.
GO SENS GO!!

Massively disappointed with Buffalo so far. They barely got a touch in the first and by the end of the second it was over. They're a better side than this.

I meant with the way they were playing. They never looked like scoring.

Absolutely awesome result for us ;D ;D ;D ;D Never saw that one coming and to do it in their barn sweet ;D ;D Now this finally proves we are not dependant on Dats or Hank to score to lead us on as neither scored in this 5-0 demolition, im pleased we have restored home ice advantage, now to sweep them at the pond. Also if Neidermeyer was trying to unsettle Homer with that shocking hit then he picked on the wrong guy , this will only make Tomas come back stronger for game 4 , hes one tough cookie is he. Roll on Thursday Very Happy ;D ;D Bye bye Jiggy ;D

Big loss for the ducks, as for Jiggy being pulled ;D ;D couldnt have happened to a nice chap after some of the comments he made regarding the nucks. Buffalo up one nil at the mo playing like the team we know they are, bit late in the series tho. Edit: Just seen the pronger 'check' frustration beng taken out on the player the intent to injure was clear to see. Buffalo now 3-0 dominating the game.

We lost 3 - 2 last night at Scotiabank. To be honest when they scored after 9 seconds, you sort of get the vibe it wasn't going to be a SENS night. I see Buffalo winning the next game at their barn, & us killing them off next time they visit us. Hope so.

Seemed a couple of freak goals coupled with Jiggy having one of his nights stopped us from inching towards the SCF last night, oh well i would have took a series split before it started after 4 games.
Game 5 sunday 8pm. BRING IT ON !!!!!!
GO WINGS GO ;D ;D

OTTAWA SENATORS win 3 - 2 in Buffalo (In over-time) & win the series 4 - 1. We also happened to win the Prince Of Wales cup in the process, & more importantly book our slot in the Stanley Cup final. It was a real tight game & the 1st period was pretty even. Senators went a goal behind, but fair play to the boys they kept on battling & pulled it back with goals from Heatley & Spezza. Buffalo, got the equaliser thanks to a debatable 5 on 3 pp. Then into sudden death overtime, & the man of the play-offs so far Daniel 'Alfie' Alfredsson, pops up with the game & series winning goal. I really don't mind who we face in the final, the Ducks OR the Detroit Chicken Wings...BRING 'EM ON! GO SENS GO!!

Apparently, there is a superstition in certain parts about touching the Prince Of Wales trophy. 'Alfie' touched it but refused to lift it... just hope 'Reds' hasn't put a curse on us!

Congrats man the sabres looked ordinary in the series. Can anyone stop your front line doesnt look like it!
Anaheim beating Detroit in OT 2-1 - will be hard for Detriot now i think anaheim will shut up shop and try on the counter. Has anyone seen Back to the Future? poor film i know but who else reckons Don Cherry has travelled into the future and brought back a sports almanac.

Coz it's sudden death OT. Don Cherry's prediction for the final two is looking more & more on. Also, having just checked the odds (Sens currently 21/22). Makes my 14/1 £10 bet at the start of the season look mighty generous!

Anaheim did beat the wings. Giguere is insane when it comes to OT.

Now we will really see what the Redwings are made of. That was a shattering defeat in a game where they were better than the Ducks in every area other than goaltending - not that Hasek did anything wrong. But the manner of the Ducks goals - a deflection sending the puck in a gentle arc over Hasek and a giveaway in front of their own net in OT - will really hurt.

Such a injustice last night, absolutely gutted, the wings had twice as many shots on goals (good ones too) hit the post twice, faced a very lucky goalie at times then when the tieing goal game on the PP after the resukt a non existant call on Datysuk when any other time in the game the ref wouldn t have called it.
To top it off their plaer shot a tame looking shot which slid off Lidstroms stick and looped over a bemused looking hasek.
Finally in OT selanne hooked Lilja into making a mistake to cough the puck up selanne turned picked the puck up and deked Hasek top corner.

You're meeting a truly insane goalie here pidge. Giguere is 12-1 in OT, how the hell does he do it? Everything just hits him.
