The NHL play-offs are now upon us. The quest for the Stanley cup starts in ernest. Tips for the cup, & general Play-off banter, & chat here. I would love to see SENS lift the cup, but see them struggling to get past Crosby & the PENS. Pittsburgh seem to have Ottawa's number all season. Still gonna vote Ottawa tho'!

It'll be interesting to see how Crosby & Co cope in the play offs, and while I like the guy, I have to erh slightly on Fleury.
I've voted for Buffalo.

I've voted for Anaheim. I would love to see Buffalo do it because their style of hockey is what I think the game is all about. I wonder if they have the brute strength to win the cup though. Same goes for Pittsburgh. I watch them any and every time they are on because its such fun to watch them. I really hope they do it too and I'm becoming a bit of a fan (hence current moniker) but fear its a year or two too early. So I'm going for the Ducks. They've been knocking on the door for 2 or 3 years now, are battle hardened and have added Pronger on D. They have guaranteed goals in the likes of Selanne and young guys with 2 or 3 years experience now. If they don't win they won't be far away.

This is one of the most open cups for years, i can see any team winning it. Nashville for me, but Dallas are the dark horses.

Sabres Ducks final, with Buffalo edging it due to their immense firepower. Sabres in 6. I know in previous years we have done predictions for the NHL post season, is anyone planning on organising one for this season?

I see this being Ottawas series, the Pen have had your number all year but now we are in the post season it is totally differant. The experence on the Sens bench should help them beat the Pens, but the Sens old foe Gary Roberts could have a large saying in this series.

I don't have a choice, Maple Leafs are out there-fore if I want to survive the summer months it's got to be the Pengiuns I'm rooting for!
(Don't think they'll win it) So, Wings it is!
Just hope San Jose go past the Preds, I'm in San Fransisco at the start of May and would love a jaunt down the Freeway to see some play-off hockey!

Anyone been watching the Dallas v Vancocuver game.
Vancouver just scored with 1.54 mins to go when they were in their 4 x 20 mins Overtime ....after the score was 4 all in regulation time.
Apparently it was the 6th Longest Game in NHL history.

Sens beat the Pens in game 1 @ Scotiabank Place, 6- 3. A very happy Wigwam this morning. Dany Heatley, getting his 50th goal of the season too.

Canucks have a problem at the mo, they cant hold a lead lost count now of how many we've thrown away in past few weeks. Luongo makes a playoff record 72 saves in one game (previous 52), Zubov played over 55 minutes and Jan bro's Lucas chipped in with an assist. San Jose and Nashville with a tight game 2nd overtime period win. great signs for a thrilling playoff race by all teams involved.

Crosby scored one goal and had another disallowed The official report says Fleury was only pulled after he played 50:28 mins and Thibault then played for 8:02 mins. Perhaps a little to late really. Penguins then scored twice.

6 goals conceeded on 36 shots isn't overly great, infact it's poor.
