Thanks Spik. I was being a bit dim, forgetting that two go up! I’ve been doing stats for years but have had many a dim moment in all of them. Should not get excited either but Lithuania 🇱🇹 have scored v Italy.

Should not get excited either but Lithuania 🇱🇹 have scored v Italy. because it probably won't take italy long to equalise. Lithuania have the back up in net instead of Armalis.

Like everything these days, they like to complicate it. They used to be Pool A,B,C and D. With A being the highest.

Does anybody know how they went and got Chuck Wever to come in. I know his history with Coventry & GB, I can see he is in the set up at an NCAA div 1 team. What I dont understand is how somebody decided to go make him an offer to come and help out this time. Fair play to whoever at GB made that decision. Shows real intent to take it seriously with Keefe missing.

So, what permutations are there?
Win and we are up is a possibility but what other outcomes get us to the Top Division next year?

So, what permutations are there? Win and we are up is a possibility but what other outcomes get us to the Top Division next year? If Poland win in any fashion vs Romania then As long as we avoid a regulation defeat vs Italy we will go up. A regulation win will secure us Gold If Poland lose to Romania (unlikely) we are promoted before the puck drops in our game.

An overtime win will also see GB take gold as it will put them on the same points as Poland but GB beat Poland.

Looks like Lithuania going down with nil points then. Poland will secure a promotion place today. GB v Italy for the other prize. Two or three points for Gold or one point for Silver for us. CAN NOT lose in regulation or it’s a broken TV set.

Looks like Lithuania going down with nil points then. Judging by the IIHF write up, if they win in regulation today they'd stay up due to mini league goal difference. Should they hammer Korea then the Koreans could still go presumably, but currently they have a 5 goal cushion over Romania.

Be a cracking game tonight now. The Italians have to win in regulation, they are going to be going balls out

Romania might go down on same points as Lithuania having beaten them? But we could get GOLD and promotion if we get OT two points tonight and are 13pts with Poland? I'm lost now. Everything pointed (no pun intended) towards tied points having the 'head to head' game deciding. EDIT...Oh I get it, the three way tie.

Korea win with Lithuania having to go for it at the end, so Lithuania down.

Doesn't look at all clever for Myers there, very heavily into the boards. Hope he's alright.

Came in late to 1-1 game.Impressed by our passing and effort.
Whilst we look interested and don’t tire I’m happy.
