Probably not a good time to be playing the Steelers after their last weekend. 🙈

It's got all the signs to be a cricket score in favour of the Yorks. So 4-1 Panthers then...
Please let Jones have the start.

Irrespective of who plays between the pipes for Panthers I see this as another victory for the Orange men, especially after owner Tony Smith read the riot act on Tuesday. The Grapes Count :- Panthers 3 : Steelers 5.

Yup, needs to make one of them the number one, and after that near post magic on Sunday it's obvious who it should be. And I agree, won't be surprised if we win, despite everything suggesting the opposite. I know we have a bad recent record against them, even at the NIC, but it's just got the potential to be one of those no-chance games where we surprise everyone. Team Hollywood, basically.

Will it be the same go out all guns blazing for the first period then be knackered 2nd & 3rd when Sheffield decide to turn up? Who knows. Still wouldn’t be surprised if we nicked it unless we leave that until the qtr finals of the playoffs..

Panthers version.
It went like this "Keep losing and throwing away games coach, bums on seats are well up"

This is what an owner who cares about winning does, as opposed to one who hides in the shadows and pops up every couple of years to falsely proclaim what a fantastic position his clubs are in ! 🙄

A major problem with EIHL fans is they don't have the clout to remove a owner.. black knows he can do what he wants when he wants and it goes unchallenged... He wouldn't last a week running a football club

I don't care for an owner who constantly calls out his players and coach, is in and out of the dressing room and is looking over the shoulder of coach and GM. Owners are wallets, they open up at the start of the season, and should only get involved when something is going seriously wrong. Otherwise let the people who he's appointed get on with the job.

Yes correct you don’t want an owner jumping up and down every week but.... In Panthers case this year despite a shockingly bad season, other than Pacha’s couple of nicey nicey little fan letters we have barely even heard the word “unacceptable” never mind threats of jobs on the line and last chance saloons etc. Instead there is Corey smiling through interviews as if he doesn’t give a stuff, Pacha rarely seen and Black doing his usual Lord Lucan act. It’s pathetic, really really pathetic !

Yup as demonstrated on twitter they'll be plenty who are currently moaning but will be there in their seat at 7pm on Saturday 🤣

Steelers supporters demand success or a competitive team at the very least. Panthers supporters accept the on ice product - win, lose or draw. They turn up without showing a meaningful interest more akin to attending as a social event. When the Steelers are dross, the Sheffield public stay away in notable numbers until action is taken to 'right the ship'. Panthers this season are too busy playing at being social media savvy whilst the team decline continues at an alarming rate.

The major difference is in the word 'supporter'. From my perspective, the core of what I would call Panthers 'supporters' is diminishing at an alarming rate, and I include myself in that. I dont really know how to explain it, but, looking at the comments on the social media pages, I recognise less and less the names of people posting. The folks I know from past years seem to be smaller and smaller. Have they all come to the same conclusion that us 'older ones' have and drifted away? Black's ethics seems to be, doesn't matter who I wee wee off, there will be more to take their place, there are 360,000 people in Nottingham. How crap are we that this Saturday is a sell out and we are garbage? So long as the attendance keeps up why should things change?

Excellent point .. if I was to turn up on Saturday (god forbid) I bet if I walked around the concourse they'd be a handful I'd know now.. go back 15-20 years and they'd be someone I knew every step. These 'new' fans don't see it as a sport. I've seen how they interact on social media after yet another loss..!

Sorry pidge/others but I totally disagree, who are you/others to say any supporter is better or worse than any other
If people want to go be it when they win or lose its there choice, but to say people who keep going when not going well are not true fans is just rude tbh.
I personally go to see a competitive team and performance and the good thing about hockey is that anyone can beat anyone on a given night
Some you win and some you lose, that's sport - sometimes it's frustrating but I'm a supporter
Steelers or other teams fans are no different to any others

We’ve become a mid table/lower mid table side. We barely stay competitive in most matches this season. I completely understand staying away and saving money, especially in this climate.

Possible chant for this one...? 'We lose every week, We lose every week, You’re nothing special, We lose every week!' link
