Logged on to the Motorpoint arena website, you can see a few on the “events “ on your season ticket, don’t appear in any order though

How do we know the Christmas games have been canned? Is this a Simms?

It’s the same on my account, I bet they’ve flipped the fixtures and it’ll be something like:
Coventry Boxing Day @ home, Sheffield 27th away, Coventry 29th away, Sheffield NYE @ home.

(Monday 6th April). Which automatically leads me to doubt the others as well...

It looks to me like a placeholder, presumably for playoff quarter finals that would in theory take place 4/5th April.

The only downside I see is getting tickets for the 28th. We tend to take large numbers up to Sheffield at Christmas. I could imagine a similar amount of people(perhaps more with the feelings around the Sheffield fixtures) wanting to go to Coventry for that game. Otherwise it's a refreshing change, looking forward to it.

I loved the tradition and I always looked forward to the Christmas games, not so much anymore.

Whoever agreed to the change needs a medal lol Makes financial sense for both, now that there’s enough public chatter about staleness between them. Both get a home Boxing Day fixture that will likely be within ~500 of selling out, then a home sellout against each other in the same week anyway. Gruelling schedule, but the £ doesn’t sleep.
