At least us non season ticket holders don’t have to endure the’greatest hockey rivalry in Europe’ and be bored to death in 6,340 meetings per season.

The fixtures are shocking! most of the games are Sunday games... So what happened to Saturday Night is Hockey night. If I would have known this I wouldn't have bothered with a season ticket. Sunday games are a pain in the arse and waste a day!

So there are 10 Saturday Games 10 Sunday Games 1 Friday Game 5 Mid week Games
for the League
This is shocking... Last season ticket for me this year then, the Sunday games are at such a stupid time that wastes a day and mid week I'm just to knackered to bother 1/2 the time or away with work
Last year we had 16 Saturday games

On Google you may have to tick the box in settings to Show "Elite Ice Hockey Calender"

I had to select my googlemail drop down, then tick the elite league option, which wasn't auto selected.

It’s funny how some times the fixture list works for you - my sons Father in Law who enjoys his hockey can’t make, because of illness that makes him really tired, can’t attend evening games , but a 4pm face off is early enough.
I appreciate Sunday’s are not everyone’s favourite, but this is just one little positive.

Perhaps folk should look outside the box a little bit.
New broom, new era (again!), play the second game of the weekend at home in an effort to maximise points/results maybe. I maybe wrong but not much else seems to have worked down the years. Disappointing that Saturday nights will entail having to avoid X Factor, Strictly et al, but I’m prepared to give it a run if it helps results.

As much I hate the Sunday face off time i've long wondered if teams that play home on Sundays get a bit of an edge. First game at home in front of a big crowd, perhaps not giving a boost when needed. Followed by a tired 2nd night infront of 1,000 people in an old barn/tough team. Or Playing in front of 1,000 away from home on fresh legs/Or tough away game whilst fresh, followed by coming home for the 2nd game in front of your home fans to give that extra lift when a bit tired.

I suppose it’s what your used too, in Cardiff lots of us love our home games on a Sunday at 6pm, time for Sunday lunch yet not too late for kids, and most Sunday workers can make it. Definately Sunday for us lot.

Sunday 4pm vs Sunday 5pm is always going to be contentious, and different people will have different reasons for preferring one or the other.
Personally, I much prefer the 4pm face-offs. Not only does it mean that (seeing as the game is likely to finish around 6:30pm) there's time to have a proper meal afterwards without rushing or eating too late, but on nights when the Lions are playing at home (always Sunday , usually 7:30pm face-off) it means there's actually time to get from the Panthers and get things sorted before the Lions start.

Sunday games finishing at half 6 also makes it better for getting kids back for bed time routines before school as well.
In all honesty, I think playing at home Sundays does have the advantage of travel and resting times.
Cardiff have made Sunday’s work for them for the last Dede years.

I wonder if Doucet has had input on his preferred home games?

should be 6pm like the rest of the league!! The rest of the league? Just going by the fixtures for next season:- Belfast 4pm Glasgow 4pm Sheffield 4pm Coventry 5:15pm Manchester 5:30pm 6pm on a Sunday appears to be a minority thing...

I wonder if the Sunday games will impact on the attendance figures with fewer walk ups looking to start their boozey night out?
On the plus side, the crowd will probably be made up more of “true” hockey fans.
