Ok anyone know when the fixtures are going to be released? Dates the EIHL have announced the fixtures in the last 2 years: 23/07/2018 21/07/2017 Using this I would imagine it’ll be next week sometime.

Seeing as the fixtures meeting was the last week in June, they've had around 3 weeks already... this is starting to get a bit irritating.

Expectations should’ve set in line with those dates imo (I get people wont agree) so it’s not worth getting wound up like some on social media are.

Oh, definitely... no bouncing up and down in a rage here... just need to make some plans. It's irritating rather than enraging... And seeing as next Monday is the 22nd... that's probably when it's going to be. Would be nice for it to be earlier, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Exactly that's my feelings about it are, I've got to book my time off for it (As I would imagine quite a few others have too) If they know the dates, don't make a huge song and dance about it, just tell us

Is it possible that they give the clubs 28 days from the fixture meeting for changes to be agreed due to new arena bookings, unscheduled maintenance etc ?

A home game against They Who Squeal that ISN'T on a Saturday evening, the Xmas games against someone other than them... could we finally be breaking free from at least some of the entanglements of the so-called and very stale 'rivalry'?
We can but hope...

We can but hope... Or they reckon it'll sell well regardless so stick it on sunday and but another fixture with traditionally weaker sale on the better night to maximise total numbers. That or the Steelers need the Saturday to bump up the crowd.

That or the Steelers need the Saturday to bump up the crowd. Quite possibly... It's the combination of the two circumstances which intrigues me. Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic, but it would be nice to rid ourselves of that rotting corpse of a so-called 'rivalry' that we've been chained to for years...

I don’t think the games against Sheffield will sell well. They want fans to pay for four meaningless pre-season games, then they open the season with two cup games, which in reality are also meaningless. Plus I can imagine a lot of people will still be on holiday.
I would have preferred it if we started off with some league games.

I'm guessing the remaining signings will be announced soon.
Interesting that it's not Sheffield for The Christmas games, wondering if it's Manchester or Coventry (Assuming they are not The New Years games)you'd still think that they still want the away crowd, so it makes sense seeing as they are the closest teams.
Must admit, I'm shocked they announced the opening fixtures unless teams realized that they actually have to put tickets on sale

Every club has been announcing their first home games today. Just scanning through, Clan are the first visiting side for 3 teams, the Stars, Giants and Flyers. Meanwhile Blaze, flyers and Storm are no ones first visitors. (Giants and Belfast are also no ones first visitors, but they have CHL.)

Wont be Coventry over xmas I expect them to play Devils back to back like usual.
Steelers are playing Manchester I believe. Panthers may not play.
I have a feeling Panthers are playing Steelers on NYE !

If the club are planning on reducing the amount of games we play over the Christmas period then that is a good thing.

Cardiff vs Coventry makes sense, as does Manchester vs Sheffield... but if Panthers didn't play, that would mean another team standing idle as well. My money is on us playing Guildford at Xmas.
