So following advice from my Solicitor I sent a 2nd letter and email to the club yesterday. This time with a 14 day window for a response.
I can't say at this stage fully say why they have forced me to go down the legal route but I will be able to do so if they don't respond by the end of the 14 days.

That’s the problem, I don’t think it’s garnered enough publicity to even minorly inconvenience the Panthers. If you were to stop all our fans after the game on Saturday and ask them about this sorry saga the vast majority wouldn’t have a clue.

I wonder what Andy Worth and the GMB would make of all this? Not a lot i wouldn't think, they would side with Moran and Black. Wouldn't want to miss presenting a made up,keep the sponsor happy,GMB player of the year award now would they !

So they would not support a case of "unfair dismissal", a cornerstone of any worthwhile trade union? Siding with the Fat Cats over the downtrodden (no offence Rob!) is not good PR for the GMB as their sponsorship is aimed at publicising the benefits that membership of a trade union can bring. I really think this is an avenue worth (no pun intended) pursuing.

I called the GMB a while ago. They were not remotely helpful or interested. Nothing to do with us.

Rightly or wrongly, they have you over a barrel. They are a private company, not a public entity.

Hi Rob
Cardiff Devils fan, but I promise I come in peace.
Kept abreast of all the stuff that’s going on off ice with you guys, and I saw that you went to a solicitor.
I am a lawyer, and I hope your lawyer hasn’t charged you for the time they’ve spent with you, and whilst I’d advise you that I provide the below only as a guidance and you should further advice if necessary, I have to say this.
Unfortunately unless the Panthers have discriminated against you on the basis of the very specific grounds in the discrimination legiation in banning you (it would seem here that they are alleging misconduct by you, though I accept that you deny this entirely) then they can do as they please.
As has been pointed out they are a private company and the arena is private property. They have every right to bar whoever they like from the arena.
My advice - as you seem to have discontinued your involvement with the trust, I’d say send an apology (though carefully worded) however hollow it may be if you want to go to the arena.
If the principle is most important to you, then you’re probably out until September.
Hope this helps.
Owen

Go to the press. Write to some of the panthers sponsors, let them know what they are associated with. Re-launch the supporters trust. Just go to the games regardless. Protest at the play offs.

I've been in touch with a Solicitor not because of the ban as such but because of something I believe the club have told a 3rd party about me which I believe isn't true. Sorry to be vague but I can't release the details until the end of the 14 days we have given the club to reply. I didn't make any abusive comments towards Mr Black as he and the other people at the Q&A well know so I certainly won't be making any kind of apology.

I doubt the press would be interested unfortunately. The Sponsors must all know what GM is like and still sponsor.... I can't re launch the supporters trust. Firstly because it's already running and is a legal entity which I can't just pick up if I feel like it. I must admit I am extremely tempted to get involved again as I have been sad to see how the drive and momentum has been lost since I stepped down as interim chair. I can't bring myself to get involved again though as I did feel let down by both the trust and Supporters Direct following the Q&A. Having said that the Supporters Trust IS a good idea and IS the only way the fans can realistically unite to increase the power of their voices. If you are a poster on here get involved with them and help to push it forwards for the benefit of all Panthers fans. I can't just go the the games. I'm trying to play this straight despite the ludicrous and petty actions of the club. I'm a marked man down there and I doubt if I would get in even on someone else's ticket. I also wouldn't want to risk a scene if I was there with my boy. I will be making a subtle protest at the POFW and will be sitting with friends in the Devils block.

7 days since I sent the letter and email to Panthers Management. No reply as yet. They have 7 more days before I should legally be able to say why I have been forced to get legal advice.

Today is the 14th day so if I don't receive a reply today I'll be able to say what the club have been doing and it will become clear why I was forced to take legal advice.

Evening post wouldn’t run it to be fair cos Gary wouldn’t give them an ounce of column time ever again. I can remember him threatening BBC radio Nottingham once about speaking out of turn. He’s got them by the short and curlies.

So, For anyone still interested and can be bothered to read all of this here goes....
Following the Q&A on Tuesday the 10th of October I received a letter from Panthers Management informing me that I was banned from all Panthers events for the rest of the season. The reason for the ban was my abusive and threatening comments made towards Neil Black. As Neil and all the other people in the Saltbox that evening know I did not make any abusive or threatening comments. Even people who are against the Supporters Trust have admitted that I didn't say anything even remotely abusive.
So, following the ban I attempted to contact the club to try to find an amicable resolution. Unfortunately despite several attempts I received no reply whatsoever. At this point I contacted the arena direct to ask them if they might be able to help. Thankfully they were much more helpful. Once I had gone through the hoops to speak to someone senior they agreed to contact the Panthers to try and get the situation resolved or at least start up a dialogue between the club and myself. Their emails were ignored so eventually the Arena agreed to call the office to try and find out what was going on. When they spoke to the club they were told that "they are in litigation with you and will not enter into further correspondence". She continued that, As I am now aware of this, I too will now not be able to enter into further correspondence with you.
As you can imagine I was fairly surprised to hear that the club were in litigation with me, As I had not heard anything or received any correspondence. At this point I felt it best to take legal advice. Following this I sent a letter to the club and an email.
Panthers Management
I refer to your letter of 5th October 2017 advising me of a ban from attending any event/fixture of Nottingham Panthers.
Unfortunately I have had to correspond directly with the Arena as despite numerous efforts I have not received any response from the Nottingham Panthers organisation.
The Arena have been as helpful as they can in order that we may find a resolution to the current situation.
On 10th January 2018 I received an email from the Arena stating they had spoken to the Nottingham Panthers and that you are apparently in litigation with me and will not discuss the matter any further. As a result of that communication I have been advised the Arena will no longer enter into any further correspondence.
I have not received any prior notification of any current litigation and therefore please provide me with the following:
1) Details (including copies of all documentation) relating to the current litigation;
2) Confirmation of both the relevant Court and/or Hearing dates;
3) Details of all correspondence relating to the said litigation.
I look forward to hearing from you but wish to reiterate I only wish to find an amicable resolution.
Yours sincerely
Rob Scott
Unfortunately I received no reply to either the letter or email so I took further advice. Following that I sent the following.
Panthers Management
I refer you to my letter and email sent to you on the 23rd of January. Whilst I still wish to reach an amicable settlement your refusal to reply suggests that you have not embarked on any litigation whatsoever.
I am now seeking a reply from you regarding the alleged litigation as a matter of urgency. If I do not receive a reply within 14 days I will be forced to take further advice from my solicitor.
Yours sincerely
Rob Scott
The 14 days are now up and no reply.
So, Why did the club lie to the Arena about being in litigation with me?
