I am dreaming, and I don't want to wake up... The Panthers had overperformed in all 3 of the previous CHL games as far as I was concerned... I wasn't expecting anything out of this one, apart from a very entertaining game of hockey and a result that would have us leaving with our heads held high (like the 5-2 loss at Bern). Damn, but it's nice to be wrong... (about the not getting anything part... spot on about the performance!). Grim reality may well turn out during the season that this style of play actually doesn't work as well against the British style of hockey... but I'd still expect a good set of wins and a lot of entertainment. Or - and this is, of course, the preferred option! - the Panthers could go on to totally chainsaw all domestic opposition! Who knows? Right now, I don't even care... still on a high and I've only just poured myself a (single) alcoholic drink... this is the best kind of high, a happy hockey high! After being half deafened by 6000+ non-stop SC Bern fans in Switzerland last week, I never thought we could shut fans like that up - but we did. I never thought we'd drown them out even when they didn't shut up - but we did! There's no such thing as perfection... but this was probably the closest to it that I've ever seen, heard and felt. Thank-you Panthers.

Truly incredible, stunning. Certainly the greatest victory for us I've ever witnessed. I'll be going to the NIC a long time to top that one.
Top of the group with 2 to play, just extraordinary.
Crowd were brilliant too, and we certainly weren't outdone by an excellent set of travelling fans, as I suspected we would be, great noise.

I still can't believe what I witnessed tonight, to come from 2-0 down to one of Europe's best teams is just unbelievable. Also to top it off, they were not breakaway or fluky deflection goals either nor was it a weakened Bern side either.
I must admit after the 1st Period, I thought reality had set in as I felt that The Panthers were reluctant to shoot and gave too much respect to Bern. That 4 Minute Power Play we had was just how the Period went for us.
Then in the 2nd, something happened and The Panthers just went for it and made Bern uncomfortable and Bern were lucky not be losing going into the 3rd Period.
Then After killing a Penalty in the 3rd, Brown's goal went in and it was simply amazing.
I thought that Genoni made some great saves, where I thought that they were key and that Bern would go on to tie and win after those saves.
Bern looked great on The Power Play
Words can not describe what I feel about the Players and Staff who played their hearts and roles out.
The fans made an incredible atmosphere.

To be honest I dont want to read every post in detail right now. I have one key point to make. I myself and many others have absolutly battered Corey the last few years. Let's pause and give credit where it is due. You do not acheive what we have done without the coach. Fantastic from Panthers and a huge well done to Corey.

A phrase that many Panthers fans will said for years to come "I WAS THERE" - what a game, what an effort, what a team - after the first period we were asking "how many would we lose by", - end of second, "can we hang on" -end of third "what happened there" - not only did we win, we deserved to win

Add these to the list of 1st's
Most wins by an Elite League Side in a CHL Competition (3) Most points by an Elite League Side in a CHL Competition 1st Elite League Side to top a CHL Group 1st Elite League Side to beat a Top Seed
Bern, Mountfield and Turku must be cursing their luck to have gotten us in their group.

What a fantastic first Panthers game to take my Michigan-based brother to.
Never gave up, turn up the pressure, got Bern rattled and put in some well worked goals.
We were sat in Block 15, Row D, right behind the Bern bench and I can tell you, they were not a happy bunch.

If our home game against Turku isn't sold out, I'll be shocked.
Tell you what, the boys deserve to go out tonight and have a few beers. They deserve it. I can't remember ever hearing an atmosphere like that.

If The Panthers are allowed to see DVD's of the game it will be a huge money spinner.
I've check Free Sports schedule, it appears that they are running the game Wednesday Morning at 8:00, shame it's not on earlier as it would have got them some good ratings especially as they are a new channel.
Also I've realized that The Panthers shut out Bern for 2 whole periods.

I'm sat here explaining to my wife how big that was.
The only thing I can use. "It's like River Island beating Prada" 😁😁

There was a Panthers newbie sitting next to me in Block 15 tonight (he'd been to 2 varsity games previously, that's it). Something tells me he's going to come back... I've got some friends who couldn't (for various reasons) get to the game tonight. I bet every single one of them is gutted - I know I would be! It's nights like this that remind even us long-term fans that there's a reason that we come to games. And what an atmosphere. Tell you something - if we could get some coverage of that onto East Midlands Today, if all of Nottingham & the surrounding area could see and hear what we saw and heard tonight... the box office would be putting out the 'full house' signs on a regular basis. That was priceless. Can we do it all over again, please?

In over 28 years I've not seen a performance like that over 60 mins! I really am struggling to explain it , we need to lock these players away ! Mokka, what a player at 22 has skills to burn
One guy who doesn't get much mention is Busseries, that guy never stops I think he 'll be our unsung hero this year

Iginla I'm being picky now .. you made reference that this is the best team ever to appear at the arena , I'd say 2nd best.. AK Bars Kazan played Panthers pre season in 2001 they were Russian superleague champs at the time and had a certain Paval Datysuk on the roster They won 6-1
