Only on a try-out deal for pre-season, guess they'll send him packing if he's not up to it. From the Blaze story on this: Since when was that the rule? I thought it all came down to where you were trained?

Looking at the league I think our Conference has moved forward in terms of skill and competitiveness, Edinburgh have improved, but I think there will be a bit of a gap between us and the rest of the league. Edinburgh look much better but the other Scottish teams look like they've taken a step back. I think Manchester will be a wait and see, they may do well at home in that small rink, Guildford look really poor, MK look reasonable, but have a couple of cheap imports there, so I think they will have two good lines. Blaze look better than last season, but will be interesting to see where they stack up against the guys in our conference. Should have a good idea of how we all stack up come the end of September.

Whilst i dont think they'll win because they are a step back from the big 4. They could pick up alot of points in the other 2 confrences.

From a Flyers perspective I don't think we have taken a step backwards. We have had to practically build a new team
The loss of Dingle is huge but you can't blame him for making the move when he did but with Leblanc it looks like we have got a more than capable replacement who is also younger
The re-signing of Schaber this morning is also big. He scored 25 goals for us in all competitions last season and that was coming off a brutal injury the season before so his game and confidence didn't get going until Christmas. That won't be the case this season and with a fully fit and confident Schaber he could easily get 30 goals or more for us and along with Dingle, Moyer and Owen was one of the few I would have had returning. Owen was always going to go to bigger and better things though That left side for Flyers with Schaber, Gauthier and Bloodoff is looking quite strong
We once again look to have a found a very good netminder in Iles, a little small but a very good pedigree and at 25 he is still improving and with the signing of Jordan Marr as our back up he won't be getting overworked as Marr will get games.
We have 4 signings left, 2 forwards, 2 D. We have quietly and patiently gone about our business. Lets see what these last 4 spots bring us

The more I think about it the more I'm certain that I've never been more excited to see a team in the EIHL era as this one.

Great player on his day, unfortunately he doesn't have many of those days. He likes to drink a lot and you will have to hide your wives.
That being said he was meant to have gone t total over the summer and been working so you may get the best of him. He really is a wait and see signing, even if you have seen him before.

Step 1 of his fourth signing in Nottingham

Step 1 of his fourth signing in Nottingham Don't even joke about it..... His 2nd & 3rd re-signings were bad enough. Nevermind a 4th..... On a serious note though given the teams he has played for previously in the EIHL & his signing for Dundee being so late in the off season, it wouldn't surprise me if he was desperate to stay and play in this country but the bigger teams in the league wouldn't go anywhere near him. I guess we'll never know for sure. But it wouldn't surprise me one bit.... Given his past exploits off the ice I for one wouldnt touch him with a barge pole if I were a coach.

The Lawrence we re-signed after his spells in Cov and Shuff was a decent player.
The Lawrence we signed in season 1 and 3 wasn't.

Edinburgh sign another gem it seems in Marek Tvrdon! www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=34760Few games in the KHL, 0.78ppg in the ECHL and 0.55ppg in the AHL... plus he's only 24. Real contender for the EIHL top point scorer if he hangs about!

Something Scott Neil went on to deny. I think somebody is telling porkies. They simply have to have spent a significant amount more with what they have. Caps should be much improved this year. They have some real gems. I would imagine depth will be their possible weakness.

Article on the BBC about this, suggestion from Neil being the Russian route is actually cheaper than getting in senior North American players: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/ice-hockey/41127214Fair play to them for trying something different, looking forward to seeing them this year.
