Tbh not many players know a great deal about general managers before they come here even if players whisper in their ears beforehand! I guarantee you that there's plenty of GMs in the coast and in league's around Europe 10 times worse than Moran !

The giants can sign who they want... They have Whistle/Murphy in goal and a rookie coach

And yes, they might have Murphy, but you forget that gives them the extra import skater. The same Murphy who has won the league title too. Oh and rookie coaches never win anything......I think Mr Lord and Mr Simon might disagree there !

Lord wasn't a rookie coach when he won the league Ben Simon was assistant coach with our Grand Rapids Griffins winning the Calder cup in June He may have been a rookie in Sheffield but he was always destined to be a decent coach Giants have signed decent players especially Connelly and Ferland but i ain't worried about them for the reasons I've already mentioned I firmly believe Panthers will have the best forward in the league this year

Lord won the challenge cup before the league. Simon was a rookie "coach" And the Giants have got more than Conolly and Ferland, even so far.
Go on then.....who's gonna be this best forward in the league we've got this year ?

I see the Giants just made another "dud signing" today in Brendan Conolly. 🙄 #undertheradar Giants look worse off with their Brit pack, lost Boxhill, Shields is almost 38 and Murphy is almost 36. They might have two good lines but the 8 of their 12 imports are 30 plus and five of them are approaching 35 or older, if they end up playing 3 line hockey those guys will be pretty tired at the end of the season. I know what roster I'd rather have..

We already look to have the best netminding duo/trio
Derlago as the forward
I expect our last d man to be amongst the best based on the time Corey has taken to get him

And although we are being classed as a fairly young team,we've still got a 31,33,34 and 36 year old in our Panthers team. It's going to be a fascunating season to see how our young ish team stacks up against the much older and more experienced Giants,Steelers and Devils.

For sure the usual suspects will be up at the top of the charts come the end of the season. Roy Martin Hotham Beca etc out of the newbies who i expect to be in the top 10/15 scorers are; Pope Johner Connolly Ferland Courchaine Vallerand Cazzola Leblanc Derlago Edit: obviously some players stats will be inflated as not all teams will be playing 4 lines and so ice time will increase for some

It's worth pointing out that Boxill was a big loss for Belfast, they now need another Brit if they are going to play four lines and it is very slim pickings in that department currently

I see the Giants just made another "dud signing" today in Brendan Conolly. 🙄 #undertheradar 186 pm in only 42 games, in Denmark (well known non-physial league), and he's only 5'8". He's either got a big mouth or else it'll be fun to see him play

Surely you'd not stretch the forward lines to get to 4 whilst not having enough D for 3 lines? That would be madness.

That would be madness. Depends how good your top 3 forward lines are I guess. The Giants are looking pretty good. Might not need a 4th line.

I had my fingers crossed that we could snatch him. Great re-signing for Belfast.
