Are we doing anything about that hit, many not see it as bad but to me it didn't look at all like he was goin for the puck.

After some of the times Lepine got thrown out of games I was amazed after seeing the replay that nothing official was done. But then again this is the EIHL. Decent hit IMO. Learn to keep your head up! (Lacho even said so himself!)

This is what's wrong with the game and fans these days! Let the players handle things instead of crying about the slightest little thing. Playing a little dirty adds excitement to to game.

That is all well and good, but the next time something similar happens to a Squeeler, we all know what is coming

Trying to stop dangerous hits is what is wrong with the game? I fear such people as Crosby, Giroux, Letang and Savard (to mention a few) may disagree.

I thought it seemed slightly high also, but nothing there I'd consider worthy of a ban and besides Lacho was straight back on his feet post-hit and didn't appear particularly dazed

The worst kept secret at the NIC is todays good news.
Lepine will not solve the masses of problems the team has, no one player could do that however his return will have many positive effects on the team.
the added toughness will make certain opposition players think twice about acting up if there is threat of consequence which we havent had so far. on the flip of this i believe certain players on our team ( Ling & Fox ) will play with that added edge to their game as they have back up now, this will mean (imo) they will play a more effective role and playing with confidence should eradicate mistakes and lead to improvements.
Lepine however is an average D man but he can do a very good job if he sticks to the basics and plays within his limits if the defence become more solid K-Wall should also improve his confidence as he may have more faith in whats in front of him.
Lepine is not the saviour but his signing could see a ripple effect of positive changes leading to the club to some on ice stability and better results

Here:
Not the best angle to see the contact in fairness, but it looks high chest to me, and Rob's looking over his shoulder so doesn't see it coming, needs to be more aware than that (as he himself apparently said).

I would hardly call it crying in my behalf... Looking at the video it looked high. Can't see anything wrong with saying that =S and as you say dirty hits add excitement but so do legal good hits. Ie like Lepine several times which he was handed a ban ....

Lepine got a lot better last season & with him on ahl try outs I expect him to have improved some more +1 IMO was our best defensemen come the end of the season.. Improved his slap shot and positioning! Watch out fata/goertzen guy is coming to get you! your best D-man? ummm, something isnt adding up here. some fans wanted his return basically for his toughness, saying his defending wasnt that good....amazing how different fans watching the same player see somethings others dont. but having read this thread then the one about your NHL'er signing seems you all feel this will get you back on a level footing.....we shall see, its all about catch up at the moment

Probably the same as Ling punching G in the back of the head, when G was talking to your bench during a stoppage and ling was hiding behind two other panthers while sitting on the bench!!!!

I don't think it really matters if Lepine was here or not for the last game, the way Didiomete carries on it's inevitable that there will be some kind of scrap when they face each other

Having read the title thread I thought the panthers had resigned guy lepine, but after reading all the posts and how lepine is going to turn your season around, take care of every other tough guy and any player who comes within 20 paces of your skilled players and that every other team will be looking over their shoulder now he's a panther again, I have come to the conclusion you have in fact signed GOD. And god help him if he doesnt turn out as the majority of the panther fans are expecting him to.

Please name me a panther player who had the impact that Brad did and thats a genuine question.

If you want Panthers players with 'impact', then I think a certain Rob Globke might be able to provide a testimonial!
