If Corey is sidelined its an ideal opportunity to bring in Lepine, by all accounts Tuma played a good game in Cardiff. The pair of them could do well. maybe we're having our 'hick up' at the start of the season instead of Nov time.

Is he the type of the D-man you need though? Who cares? He gets the same sort of cheers as the much overrated Kowalski when he is announced onto the ice so as far as bums on seats it's #winning

He is by a long chalk the best goalie we have had of recent times! Regularly keeps us in games with flashes of the glove (last night he made some superb glove saves at crucial times) and his puck handling and distribution are a huge asset to the team.

A mixture of brilliance and mistakes. Some nights he has more leaks than Trent Water.

Im sure if you look at the amount of mistakes againt the amount of excellent/outstanding saves he makes the latter will far out weigh the former.

If Lepine was to return, he would surely be useful (especially with Corey out injured) but he wouldn't be an answer to many of our problems. The absolutely inept display of 'teamwork' on Saturday - making tape-to-tape passes straight to the sticks of opposition players time after time, for a start - was a problem for the team as a whole... not even just the defence. And it wasn't down to our players being 'bullied' - they weren't. So the deterrent theory doesn't really apply either.
I wouldn't be sad to see him back... but we need a lot more than just his return.

If Lepine comes into replace the injured Nielson for now, whilst it gives you that added toughness, it makes you weaker and less potent on "D" imo.
He may be a decent fighter but he's certainly not a no.1 "D" man in this league, AHL try out or not.

As for making you a lot more solid at the back, I'm not totally convinced with Lepine's defensive abilities when I've seen him play. All my opinion of course, he may well turn out to be your saviour.

He's a solid defenceman who takes care of the physical side too, very pleased to have him back.

Happy with this, Lets see if Keefe's reproductive organs respond to the news in the correct manner and shrink accordingly as he nears the East midlands next time?

Finally. Someone to make this powderpuff team a little more physical which is just what we need. Anyone who thinks he's here as a number one d'man is just silly, he's here to give us a physical edge which anyone can see we have been horribly lacking. As other teams were being constructed this year the glaring need was plainly obvious.
