Chris
Not claiming to be wrong or right, or accusing anybody of anything. It just left a sour taste in my mouth to look up as our best player was being helped off the ice after what looked a bad challenge and seeing all the blocks of Steelers fans on their feet cheering and shouting. That is all. Think it's time to put this to bed.

Totally agree, and I've seen similar situations more times than you like to. I may be wrong, but it was just my interpretation of it at the time.

PS: Did anyone see the female Steelers fan in block 1 wildly gesturing at some Panthers fans in block 12 after their 4th went in? Something should be done about her How did you manage to see that you were too busy waiting for the text.

I did Jono mate! Totally reprehensible behaviour IMO, nothing less that a lengthy ban will suffice. There is just no place in our sport for that kind of vitriolic celebration!

We were sat in block 19 , and we too were on our feet cheering at the fight. We were not cheering at the injured player . However (as I have posted on Steeltalk) in retrospect we should have shut up and apololgise for any offence caused.

There were probably as many Panthers fans cheering the fights as Steelers fans so why should you have shut up? Nothing there to apologise for. If there hadn't been a fight, and you were still cheering, fine, out of order, but that's not how it was.

Glad you've posted these now Helen to peruse whilst i'm sober as when you showed me the fight in the Castle on Saturday night, I think the affects of alcohol were just starting to cloud my judgement of the incidents!

The 2nd to last punch Clouts landed was huge! He knocked himself over! I think you can see from the players reactions around the incident what they were thinking!

If there hadn't been a fight, and you were still cheering, fine, out of order, but that's not how it was. True enough. When a player is down with an obviously serious injury, I think the right thing to do is for the fans and the PA to keep quiet. However, in the real world that's rarely going to happen, because, as on Saturday, many fans are wrapped up in the excitement incident as a whole and don't even realise a player is hurt. Of course there will always be some numpties who couldn't care less anyway but most folk show suitable respect once they realise a player is hurt.

A blind man on a galloping horse could see her antics in Block 1. A lifetime ban is the least she desrves, or even better she should be Simmsys assistant for a season ;D ;D HL

Hell would have to freeze over first. And it wasn't that bad.... honest I was just rather happy ;D
