Apparently Jono says and I quote: "We're almost as bad as you lot!" Bearing in mind I support the Steelers, I don't think we're that bad. Least we ain't gone 3-0 down to Hull, yet. Well not QUITE (2-0) anyway ;D This will be a HUGE result for us.

As a season-ticket holder who has just got home (why do Council's always send their employees to evening meeting/events, tut?) who had the decision not to attend taken for me, boy am I glad that I missed this one. I await with interest those who have been down to the game crashing this board in their droves.
I really hate using our European foray as an excuse, but three defeats to a team that had been doing just fine, must have made our players more susceptable to defeat. Perhaps we built this year's class up too much too soon, but three defeats in as many nights must have got to the players, and instead of a reaction, all we've seen from our guys is self-doubt.
Here's to a miserable evening fellow Panther fans.

We're winning countless games and scoring plenty of goals
We go to Europe and lose three times
We come home, look drained of confidence and energy and lose three on the trot.
But no, this has nothing to do with Europe!

I could not agree more the confidence is shot since the defeats in the continental cup a lot of people have been bigging it up saying it was great just to represent our country, Yes i must agree but at what price? The whipping boys of Europe not a tag to take home is it ?same thing happened to Coventry last year and what did they win last season

Normal service has been resumed at the Nottingham Panthers! Utter garbage, I can't take any positives from tonight's 'performance' at all. I bet Hull won't have an easier win this season!

The first period we looked quite good..........as soon as they scored the heads went down and we looked HOPELESS, we created hardly anything and looked tired, unfit and we just didnt know what to do with the puck!
Hull were faster, fitter and more ruthless, we had no reply for itk, the players faces during the game were ones of 'what the hell do we do now', they looked as puzzled as the rest of us...which is slightly worrying......
One other thing can the NIC please sort out the boards at the bottom of block 13 and 14 as they are falling apart! I could of taken a screw home as a gift!

Walking through the Bolero Square after watching a 'Load of Rubbish' on ice, we noticed the 'Loser Cruiser' parked next to the Smart cars.
We suggest they order another 17 and let them all have one to ride about in.
Hopefully they will then be as humiliated as we were watching them try to play Ice Hockey tonight and hopefully buck their idea's up before Saturday.
I only wish!

A disappointing game tonight. Would be easy to make a scapegoat of the ref but the game was lost before he got started.
Hull played a patient, solid game and defended well throughout. They took their chance well on the (unnecessary) powerplay for the first, got a flukey (but well taken) second, and then caught us stretched whilst chasing the game for the last.
Apart from two or three blinding chances in the first 5 mins I don't think that we looked like scoring to be honest. Our passing was abysmal!

There are many words to describe Panthers' performance tonight - rubbish, pathetic, lifeless, boring, clueless, slow, dreadful .....
What on earth has happened to the sparkling team we saw in the first few matches?
I actually walked out with ten minutes still to go, I was so B O R E D.

Oh dearie me........ Well done Hull, they played us off the ice both tactically and physically. Not gonna single any of ours out for criticism - would be here all night - but what's with Neilson? Flu?? He had a shocker (not that he was the only one) but I ended up feeling sorry for him, then cross at Ellie for not benching him! Gotta agree with the posts viz a viz the Europe disaster, it seems being put in our place firmly has done our confidence no good whatsoever, and our get up and go has got up and gone as they say. Please guys don't play like this on Saturday!

What a disaster! If you keep out Clarke and McAslan you keep out the Panthers. That has to be a real worry. When we were conceeding goals before it didn't matter because we were scoring well ourselves, now it seems we've been found out going forward but have still been leaking the goals. After the start we made the last couple of weeks have been so disappointing. I'm really not looking forward to Saturday now.

Neilson hasn't really impressed me all season given the hype that was associated with his signing. Is it yet another case of building up a player far too much for their own good?
I've seen a fair few offensive defencemen in the 11/12 years that i've been watching the Panthers, but most others actually remembered that first and foremost, they've defensive duties to carry out as well.
Neilson really does seem to have a hatred for patrolling his own team's blue line and helping outwith all things defensively.

I don't quite know how the coach is going to turn this around. So much of sport is about confidence. Panthers foray into europe seems to have wrecked ours. Yup - a team devoid of confidence and consequently leaden in offence - doubt we'd have scored if we played till Saturday. For the fittest team in the league we seem to be struggling to keep up - Hull gave us a skating lesson tonight. And what has happened to the discipline? It was exemplary until recently but the toys went out of the pram tonight - to our detriment. Well done to the Stingrays, they played a good game - defending well in front of a hot goal tender, skating fast and well, crisp accurate passing and a powerplay that makes ours look like a joke. We never got the Bielik moving from side to side and with his excellent rebound control we never looked like scoring after the opening flurry. Run and gun hockey is great to watch when it works but we ain't running or gunning just now and as we can't defend too well... A Continental Cup hangover? No, I think not this looks more like pneumonia. This is where Mike Ellis starts to earn his corn big time (I hope!) Perhaps we're missing Patricko more than I realised...... but one man never makes a team. And tonight we didn't seem to be playing as a team.

My VCR just recorded 3 hours of LivingTV instead of Sky One. I blame Moray Hanson. Well, I can't really blame him for the loss tonight, but he's so bad he has to be blamed for something! Then again, after tonight's game, 3 hours of LivingTV might not be so bad... it looks like I recorded "Biggest Loser UK", and "Extreme Makeover UK"... is someone trying to give us a hint ? Oh, lest I forget - well done Stingrays. Certainly deserved the win tonight, and weren't too boring to watch.
