There wont be any fights tongiht i dont think unless Shmyr or Simoes start taking liberties and vice versa. I am more interested in how the D's and Forwards stack up, Cardiff have been fairly tight at the back this year and our first line of Rempel/Smith/Cowley has been clicking well. Should be a good game ;D

Simoes doesnt take liberties. He lands clean hard checks. Very hard... but the refs seem to think he shouldnt!
Looking forward to the game now

Good game tonight, thought we stepped it up and scored at the right times to kill any Devils comebacks.
All played well thought the D had a good game collectively. and MOM for me was Mike Rees, always in the right place always composed, always played simple play.
Lindsay was good and thought his new helmet was great although obviously he didnt, as he changed back to his old one after 1st period.
One final comment ( waits to be slaughtered) Thought the Ref had great game, just the right amount of ZT but let the checks go in and the game flow better than last few weeks.
Happy me ;D

I was more than a tad nervous before this game as tonight we were IMO playing a team of some substance. What a game! This team have an attitude and work ethic not seen in the Black and Gold for years. We worked endlessly and matched(and surpassed) anything that they threw at us. Hats off to McAslan for not backing down to Voth and he didn`t show himself up either Clarkie is a revelation this year and miles better than he was under Blazer.Good to see him flourishing under Mike Ellis Cracking game all round!!!

Well done Panthers, looks like you will be there or thereabout this season. Im not interested in fights, all i want to know is after seeing most teams in the league now, how do the Devils stack up? As an aside we have one only once in the NIC since the Elite league started we just seemed to be cursed in the place

Well we are now the only team not to lose in regulation time, so that means that we are the team to beat, and imho, i think that if we go out there wanting to win, then we should have no problems. Very good game tonight, Nice to see that McAslan is willing to drop the gloves when hes getting pushed around. Lindsay had a good game except for the moment of miss jugment trying to hit the puck with the stick rather than gloving it. Didnt see what happened at the end of the game, but i thought that ref called some penalties for that so will have to wait and find out. BTW, i was looking in the back of the programme tonight and i saw that in the Manchester game, that T.Hand recieved a Game Misconduct, could any one say what happened???

Great game - everyone played well, at one point we had an entire unit - D and forwards of Brits in the ice, great to see. D have realised they need to play back and seemed to be happier with an effective 6 of them with Blaz playing part time, BTW is Jan Kraijeck Doc Durdle mark 2 or what his coast to coasts were getting almost predictable at one point. Also thought Ferrara showed promise, Simoes was awesome and I thought Cardiff seemed to tun out of steam towards the middle of the 3rd, after we scored the 4th. Was a bit shocked that MacAslan was left to take on Voth, thought their no 91 was going to get a pasting which never materialised, and what did Simoes get for nailing Darling, who got the right amount of friendly derision if you ask me, at the end? Good to see Evan getting much appreciation and the MOM, he was outstanding tonight some of the reaction saves he made were exceptional and he even got his glove hand out a couple of times, we are going to have to face it he ain't Trev but he seems to be very very effective and with his confidence growing I feel ours should too, hats off to him he was a wall tonight.
Osear let me down fantasy team wise but Corey Neilson pulled it through again :-)

Awesome game tonight, some of the passes were amazing for both teams, but we kept going right to the final whistle, Evan was outstanding tonight except for that 1 mistake which he made up for. Ref had a good game and let the checks go, which they should
good game all round and well done panthers ;D

Not sure for certain but saw the ref indicating a elbow penalty. Darling seemed pretty upset by something .

organised, hard to beat and scoring goals at the right time when it matters, great attitude, good work ethic and a cracking team spirit i haven't seen for a long time. one game at a time, keep it up lads.
it may not be pretty at times but if we can grind out results like the Edinburgh weekend and perform like we did tonight, we will be there or there abouts at the end of the season.
another good sized crowd, and you all made it a great atmosphere i thought.
now for Hull, another hard away game good luck Panthers

Hull are very similar to edinburgh, hopefully a smaller Ice pad will work to our advantage in hull.
Great game tonight I thought. Couldnt blame EL for the on that bobbled over him. Whole team put in a real good game, Clarkie has kept his goal a game going, Neily is looking better every shift.
EL deserved his MoM, he kept us in the game at times. His rebounds are directed towards open ice or one of our players. a couple of times we managed a quick turnaround because of his rebounds.
The more I see of the team the happier I am. Also McAslan/Voth... result draw! That guy really holds his own with the big boys.
On the ref.... yea he had a few clangers but overall yea, he let the big hits through and called what was needed, and what resulted was a great game of hockey which is hopefully what the ZT will make every game
Booing Cardiff as they came on the ice (i heard it in block 16 coming from elsewhere) was disgusting though. To an extent booing Darling I can understand, ex panther etc... but the whole team? What are we? A bunch of Chavvy blaze fans?
I could maybe understand if it was Sheff, Blaze or Vipers... but Cardiff? The rivalry has been gone a while now and Id consider Cardiff a second team to be honest!

Lindsay wasn't worthy of MOM if you ask me, too many rebounds and the first was a ridiculously soft goal. Give it Clarkey for a match-sealing goal, Kraicjek for an excellent d performance or Petrick for being everywhere.

Didnt see what happened at the end of the game, but i thought that ref called some penalties for that so will have to wait and find out. I'm convinced that if Lindsay faced 100 shots and got a shutout someone on here or the EIHL forums would find something wrong with HOW he did it. To many rebounds, to far out of the net, doesn't use his glove enough, doesn't move right in the crease, the color of his pads is wrong or his helmet should be painted different. I think if the French are in the market for some figure skating judges there are some strong candidates available.
