The eye candy in Skyline is pretty poor.

Taken starring liam neeson. thoroughly enjoyed it. Great film. Well worth a look, if you haven't already. Last film I went to see was Tron Legacy. Visually, you couldn't ask for better (except the de-aging on Jeff Bridges) but the writing let it down for me, if i'm honest. Not enough to stop me picking it up when it comes out on dvd/blu-ray when it comes out.

No point seeing Gulliver's Travels - it's just Jack Black being Jack Black again. Effects are quite good but after seeing 1 scene in lilliput you've kind of got all you will get out of this film.
Still nowhere near as dreadful as Skyline though - truly woeful. Quite possibly the worst film ever made.

i watched shoot em up this afternoon. with a title like that, you arent going to get a film like atonement, the flick was so much fun! death by carrot, monica belluci, babies in bullet proof vests = kickass fun movie if you want a laugh, or even to scoff at how unbelievable the movie is, this ones for you! shoot em up was awesome I loved it great fun to watch.

avatar was like watching the smurfs go to war.... poor film... another case of don't believe the hype I thought it was dull; yeah it was visually impressive, but very bland over all. There was a guy at work who raved about it...

There was a guy at work who raved about it... Agreed... visually, it was stunning. But the plot was very mediocre... very formulaic and every single plot point could be seen coming a mile off... totally cheesy. If they'd put even 5% of the effort into the story that they did into the visual effects, Avatar could have been one of the greatest films in living memory. As it is, though... eye candy, nothing more.

I'm really excited at the prospect of Captain America - love my superhero films. I was left utterly disapointed with Green Lantern and Thor was okay. X-men first class was exactly what it was titled - first class!

Warhorse is really worth watching. Whilst I knew it would appeal to the mrs, it turned out to be one of the best films I have seen for a while.
