Has anyone seen Doghouse? It's fairly funny and has a hidden message, but the best thing about the film in the 'high pitched noise scene'. Has anyone watched this with a female? The results are highly amusing, especially for us fellas.
A good film I have seen lately is The Taking of Pelham 123. I love John Travolta in a bad guy role and Denzil weren't too bad either.
Watching the new Fast and Furious on Blu Ray tonight, should be good fun.
Oh and avoid the 3D Final Destination. Watched it on Blu Ray again, but the 3D effects aren't that great and don't save the storyline which is old hat now. I like the previous efforts too, but this one wasn't great.
If you want a good 3D film to watch at home, try Journey to the Centre of the Earth. That's awesome.

Watched Sherlocke Holmes at the weekend and really enjoyed it, also The book of Eli is very good, would recommend both.
Before watching Sherlocke the trailer came on for The clash of the Titans and it looks nothing short of awesome.

Went to see Shutter Island this afternoon. Quite different to what we were expecting in that it was more of a thriller than a horror film. A good twist to it, although me and the other half have different opinions as to how it actually ended.

Clash of the Titans is much fun. Erm, is that sarcasm? Genuine question. I've heard bad things about this film and its score on IMDB is only 6.3/10 I've got the chance to see it for free tomorrow and I'm wondering if it's worth the effort.

Clash of titans is OK, not as good as the original. too much special effects driven. Battles are too hectic, you have to wait till the end and count the bodies to see who's still alive. Wasn't blown away by the monsters, you don't even get a good look at Medusa. the robotic owl is in the film for 2 seconds, why even bother. OK film but seemed a bit rushed both in production and plot. 6/10 is about right. I've seen worse, if you've got note on and it's free, why not?

Leave your brain at the door and you'll enjoy it. It's never going to win an oscar though.

I'd reccomend a film called Harry Brown (I think it's just come out on DVD), it's about an elderly ex Marine soldier, who goes out destroying Coventry fans, it's brilliant! Well worth a watch.

haha, true that.
however she did make me sit through 'nine' which was a bloody musical and garbage at that, so this was my turn to choose. i fell asleep through 'nine' (not that she's let me forget), and she hadnt seen the first one which may have tainted the experience, what with most of the characters being already established.

I assume you had a similar problem when it was her call: not having seen the first eight...

nice one glovesave, sounds like the iron man franchise is gearing towards a movie series that moves away from single stories.
for the record, this is so ambiguous, its not a spoiler so theres no need to cry.

Just post it Buster, people don't have to look at it, like the Ark in Indiana Jones.

4 Lions is pretty funny, some cracking one liners in there. Typical Chris Morris comedy, really funny but with some shocking elements thrown in there. good film. 8/10
