Its no coincidence
I have seen somewhere that Sean was touted for a career in the National hockey league, as he has the tools to be a good 4th liner, that was when he was 21

HAHAHAHAHAHA! ;D Well someone may have been checking him too hard??? Bless him. What I find very pleasing is that he has done alot of pre-seasons with NHL clubs like San Jose Sharks and Calgary Flames.

Great signing, stats speak for them selves. Not only did he play on the same team as Tessier but also ex Panther / Steeler Jason Weaver and ex- Steeler Jason Sessa. This really spices up the Panthers / Steelers games now, with Steve and Dan we have talented individuals who will have points to prove and score against each other, as long as Dan sticks around that is. ;D LETS GO PANTHERS

A right winger too! If nothing else it looks as if we're going to be one of the more entertaining sides this season. Now all we need is a defenceman who's going to stay back and defend, otherwise we're going to be very light at the back.

Seems a good player but not sure if he's the sniper that many were hoping for. I guess it's gonna be more of a team effort to get the goals.
2004-05 Edmonton Roadrunners AHL 64 games 6 goals 5 assists 11 points

His job WAS NOT to score goals, but to put opposing forwards off their game. When he was with the ice dogs he was a 1st/2nd liner

Decent signing, very much in the Ellis mould. Not incredible stats, but a good solid team player, with plenty of upside I would say. And big, 6 feet +. We certainly won't lack size this year.
Pidge, don't forget that a 2 way deal means that he would earn the higher amount if he played in the NHL. If you are in the minors, you get much less, hence the "2 way" terminology. As he never made the big club, he won't have earned $450k for 2 years.

" Its coming together as I planned. The last guy will be signed by early next week and I am very pleased with the way it is shaping up" said Panthers' coach Mike Ellis.

Thats right he never did make it, but to be considered my 3 NHL organisations is no mean feat. , he must have some useful qualities

A team effort will be alot better that a single effort.
If we had one player scoring 60+ points a season. Ellis would not want him. Ellis prefers team player. why spend "i dont know say £20,000 on a big player scoring 60 points when you can spend £6000 each on 2 players that work with the team and end up scoring 35 points each.
so what would you prefer an player that thinks he's owns the team and the league. that will score a goal or two every match. yher it would be entertain at first, but then it would be come to predictable and boring. other team will also know about this player and he will become heavily marked by defenders, and hit hard to try and get him out of the game. or with a certain DT out of the league. This would also leave other player on the line left out, how would players feel if they are used the receiving passes but 1 player is take the puck and shooting ALL THE TIME. like the team this season ME is building a team with a good atmosphere in the dressing room and out on the ice. this will encourage player to return next season. look at Newcastle their are no big stand out players (for scoring not for being a goon) and most players have returned to the team. our team this year is full of team players. this mean that their will be a good aphnospher all round. we will be putting good passes together. all round the iced. the other team cant continuously mark all player. their will be a player free and a pass can be made and shoots can be taken. wheir as a puck greedy player will try to get by 3 players and lose the puck, the other team would then be on a break away, and thats how you let by silly unwanted goal.
also as a team our player will always stick up for each other more than ever. our player will not be picking up little injures though out the season due to knocks and bangs from other players. hopefully players will want to return to the team next season due to the way the team plays. also other players will want to join the team.
i am very looking forward to this season and we ARE going to win something.
thanks pantheruk
