This game is now massive, I'm sure we'll get behind them as we have been doing.
Why is this game on Tuesday, the Darts is Thursday, do they need Wednesday to set it up?

Whatever the reason, the off/on ice schedule for the arena has the day listed for “load in” following conversion immediately after our game on Tuesday. Whilst not being clear when the darts was originally announced, or even our game, if it was before we needed to reschedule a lot of games maybe it was just left with Tuesday as the only suitable option

Massive game, no doubt the fans will be behind them like you say. As a season ticket holder, I’d have no issue if the club decided to put discounts on for midweek games. It would be great if we could try and get regular mid week attendances similar to what we had last week.

From the website. Sounds positive regarding Ollie, less so the 'other injury concerns'
Edit: Ollie confirmed as back tonight.

Caruso also missing tonight, to have both Neill and Caruso out missing after conceding 11 goals in the last 2 games isnt ideal.

I wonder if Kelsall will play D tonight then and roll 3 complete lines.

I wonder if Kelsall will play D tonight then and roll 3 complete lines. Team Sheet says 4 forward lines and D pairs are Despres and McGurty, Ryczek and Tetlow with Hazeldine rotating...

That feels like a mistake to me, particularly with our biggest minute logger on D being out. But then I showed that I know nothing by not agreeing with moving Michaud from the line with Lemay.

Biggest minute logger but also worst +- D player missing on D. Hard to tell how it will effect the D. Both Caruso and Neil missing it could be hard but as long as the 4 forward lines take the game to Fife, wear them down and help out defensively we should be ok. Rather see Kelsall up front and away from the D.

Some shocking turnovers already tonight.

That could be the worst period we've played all season. A good team would have put us to sword given all the turnovers we coughed up. At least its only 2-1.

We've seen some bad performances this season, but I think that's the worst period we've had. Very lucky to only be 1 down. One of the better teams and we'd be 4 or 5 down. Of course missing our top pair D and lines all over the place the last few weeks wont help, but that was grim.

Lucky to be only one behind. They have rattled the pipes and we seem determined to just give them the puck back in our defensive zone.
Just seems very flat.
Hoping a few choice words turns it round.

Fife only icing 14 out skaters but our recent schedule probably means we don't have more in the tank.

My god we’ve been awful for 2 periods. As bad as it gets. Luckily Flyers aren’t much better and we’re still in it. Ryczek, Tetlow and Welsh have been abysmal

And the league table doesn't lie, it's those midweek potential banana skins which have been panthers Achilles heel for years even when the team was half decent

That was poor. Scene was set by a terrible first period followed by two periods of huffing and puffing. Only line that looked vaguely dangerous was the top line, the rest were anonymous.

Really bad tonight. That 3rd period has wound me up even more. Camped in Fife’s zone for the whole period. If we’d done that in the first 2 periods Fife wouldn’t have had a sniff. When this season is over I’ll happily drive Stojanovic to the airport myself. He’s an absolute sieve. For too long now Panthers have signed poor goalies

The line looked all wrong. Since Michaud and then Neilson got injured the lines look completely disjointed and lacking chemistry and it’s affecting individual performances too. Lunsjo was on fire with Michaud and Neilson and then with Henbrant too but now looks lost and anonymous. Also, why would you have Michaud and Paré on the same line and have Michaud take the face-offs?!

Can’t not turn up for 2 periods and expect to turn it round in the 3rd and get something out of the game.
Should have been more that 1 behind after the first.
Second period tighter, but no real quality.
Peppered their goal in the 3rd, but still didn’t look like beating him and nothing dropped for us.
Defensively, we are awful. McGurty poor as well as Ryczek and the others.
Rok clanger for their 3rd, but not to blame for their first two. Both from close rage with no protection.
Time to start making plans for next year and deciding who to keep.

Honking performance. There are contributing factors with top pair D out, 3rd game in 4 days after that terrible road trip, players in and out messing with lines, but not even all that should've resulted in a performance that bad. Rok showed exactly why he cant be retained next year. Too many freebies given away. Even at his best he can let one of those in at any time. It would be unfair to lay the blame for that result at his feet though. A few minutes left in a one goal game and you are looking to put pressure on you simply cannot have an error like that from him either. We were looking threatening at last, we had half a sniff & that mistake took it all away.
As I mentioned before, there was a lot of contributing factors that didn't help, but it arguably looked like something may have gone on behind closed doors it was that bad.
Oh, and plan B!! Pare has been good of late, however he was really needed to get somethimg going tonight. Ideally sooner, but at very least he should've been flying around throwing hits and looking for a scrap to start the 3rd. That's exactly the type of performance you need your fighter to bring something different.
