. Tousignant was on form today, constantly on top of the goalie and trying to wind people up in front of the net, a real pest. Another goal from the dirty areas as well. Couldn’t disagree with this any more. He is constantly whinging, not drawing penalties with his actions and constantly shying away from actually doing anything when he is challenged by the opposition which is a shame from someone touted by high numbers of the fan base as our “tough” guy. Took his goal well though to get us back into the game.

This will be the worst attended ST Saturday game in this arena, im sure. 4689 in the end. I'm sure we've had worse Thats complete BS. No way near. But i guess its first bonfire night post covid resteictions so a lot of STs didnt turn up who still count.

He is doing ok in the scoring charts, but is suffering with his rat role as he doesn't have a tough guy to back him up.

While he didn't draw any penalties today, but he does draw plenty. Plus even if he doesn't draw penalties, he does get under their skin. Plus he is joint top goal scorer in the league, all from dirty areas in front of net. He adds a lot to the team.

Yeah, counting the ST's whether they actually turn up or not feels dishonest to be frank if that's what they're actually doing. Not too mention God help us if there's ever a scenario when they need to be able say accurately how many people are in the building (if as some have suggested STs aren't always getting scanned either)

I thought that attendance figure was about right, seemed to fill up a bit right on face off. Good win, Stars are decent and I quite like watching them to be honest! Another slow start again but finally got going after we got our first PP. Ollies goal was a worldie which stood apart from the general lack of quality in the game, whether that is tiredness due to shortage of players remains to be seen. The new guy looked solid at both ends of the ice so hopefully he will add a new dimension to our D.

I always like to look at games slightly differently. Put 6,500 people in the building and dress Dundee in Orange and people are leaving that game buzzing.

The new guy looked solid at both ends of the ice so hopefully he will add a new dimension to our D. Any time a new guy can come on to D with that little prep, not make any massive mistakes, not that draw attention to him as being too unfamiliar with the systems, and end with a positive +/- I'd agree with that. Solid for a first game for sure

Imagine if there was a major incident, like a fire and people needed to be accounted for ! In a fire, you wouldn't rely on an exact count as there would be too much uncertainty. Especially when you consider people wandering off from the evacuation points, you just cannot get a reliable count of people leaving a building. You'd instead count the building as cleared based on all areas being checked.

It was certainly scrappy in parts but a win is a win, no matter what.
Ollie seems to score great goals against Dundee.
With the Cardiff goal last week and 2 tonight, hopefully Boivin has found his scoring skates.
I'm sure Pascha with his talking to the Refs resulted in their PP which resulted in their equalizer as well as not having a Penalty called against them when Dohety took a High Stick.

I'm sure the scanning system will give a total in, if required. The reported attendance is perhaps seats sold rather than occupied.

The Meyers slash was lazy and right in front of a ref (he had just crashed into him). As slam dunk as it gets.

The high sticks were right in front of ref and a linesman for both teams within minutes. Makes you wonder if they could find their backsides with both hands.

Took his goal well though to get us back into the game. He’s not a tough guy or a fighter, he got the association because he had a fight in his first game. He’s trying to get under the opponents skin and I think he did that tonight. I think he did draw a penalty as well, on Kankaanpera, and Tousi scored on the resulting power play. Like you say he took his goal well, his finishing around the net is a big asset, hopefully he keeps it up.

Yeah the Myers penalty was awful for an experienced player. Totally unnecessary offensive zone play, it didn’t cost us in the end but pretty poor.

Especially when you consider people wandering off from the evacuation points, you just cannot get a reliable count of people leaving a building. You'd instead count the building as cleared based on all areas being checked. What if there was a bomb ! You still wouldn't be able to get an accurate count of people as they leave. Having the exact total number of people will not help in an emergency. The logistics of counting 4,000-7,000 people who have been evacuated means you'll either not have an exact answer, or the answer will take so long to get that it's worthless, or having the people corralled so that you can count them is counter productive to any emergency response that you just wouldn't do it.

I think he was frustrated at the ref for getting in his way and slashed from quite far back with zero prospect of getting the puck. Fortunate that it didn't cost us in the end.

For those who want to see it again: Ollie's goal... Just a pity that the lack of commentary doesn't build the play up while it happens. Instead of 'bit of space, woaaaah' we could have got, 'Betteridge, looking for a lane, skates with the puck, goes past one man, lovely move past another, has space, shoots and scores. Wow what a move from the Brit'.
