What a period that must have been! Gallant is 1+5 from 5 periods so far. What an incredible start.

Wow, 10-1, amazing final result and good to see Gally get mom for all his assists and his goal. Also quite good to see that Woolie kept out 21 of the 22 shots on him tonight, although judging by the scoreboard the puck was barely up the other end of the ice!

Well to be precise, in is Panthers 10 Woolhouse 1. Geoff caught the puck in his hand and before the whistle was blown he dropped it and it fell behind him into the net. Boring first period, then things stepped up very quickly. You just sat down from clapping for one goal when the next one went in. They tried to get James Neil to score a goal and kept putting him on, but no luck.

To be honest i still dont think that we play great. Ive seen us play better and lose but lets not take it away from the team 2 points is 2 points doesnt matter how you play to get them.

Got abit embarassing towards the end. Despite the score line it was a really dull game.
Trevor looks good, and can only get better as he settles into the team.
Was good to see Woolie to the "Rasto" at the end. Bless him.

Was good to see Woolie to the "Rasto" at the end. Bless him. He didnt look comfortable doing it at first though. Tonight was certainly not our best performance of the season (or most exciting). Edinburgh are a very poor team current at the lowest point of the season anything other than a convincing (score line anyway) win would have been embarrassing. After the first period I wondered why I had wasted my Sunday evening but we outclassed them and got a morale boosting victory. Glad when rasti back as geoff is doin a good job, not great, I personally don’t have faith in him in important games as he is prone to making errors. He does make some good saves to but he’s no number 1. Gallant, Stevens & MacAslan looking an awesome prospect as our first line. Ok only played Basingstoke and Edinburgh this weekend but its produced 8 goals and with more time to gel looks very healthy. P.S if anyone’s get any shares in BMI get rid now! If the kit giveaway is all the elite league games then after us and Coventry tonight profits are gona take a battering.

In fainess to the caps they started with only 5 imports then lost another in the 2nd. They are really seem to be struggling at the moment just trying to keep their imports fit enough to play.

Strangely for such a convincing scoreline I don't know exactly what to say about this game. Not brilliant by any stretch of the imagination. I thought we really missed Krajicek as our transitional play from defense to attack was pretty poor, during the first period in particular.
The Stevens-Gallant-McAslan line looks like an excellent prospect though, it'll be interesting to see how they get on in Belfast on Friday.
Credit to the Caps fans who made the trip, it can't have been easy to have come so far and see a thrashing like that. I know what's like having driven all the way to Ayr to see get battered 10-2.

so you are ever glowing in your praise after last nights abyssmal abject failure to achieve ellis' objective of four points this weekend then.... against the BOTTOM two clubs in the league? Oh i am so glad we lost and played crap, is that what you want to hear then? What twaddle. I echo the above posts repudiating such nonsense. Bison are striving to end the season top of the second half of the table. The way we're going we could well finish bottom of the top half. That puts us next to each other by my reckoning. Bison have been hard to beat all season, and at one stage looked like top 5 material. Let's not forget Edinburgh are 5-1 vs Steelers this year. We are 0-1-6 vs Steelers (or something like that). Tonight's game will not be an easy two points!! There is no such thing as an easy 2 points. Hull (next to bottom) have played at the NIC twice this year. We've yet to even score against them, let alone win. If the Caps play a deep 4 man across the blueline D tonight, we'll struggle. So tonights 10-1 was not an easy performance with most of the british kids icing for most of the last 10 mins? guess we struggled ....

Average game i thoughtt regardless of the score , it was obvious tank was going to get the MOM with stats of 1+5 got bored after the 5th goal , see if this gives them confidence for the belfast game.

Caps have some very promising young players there.
Mark Garside impressed me most. But to hold out for as long as they did before our brace was well done. They can be proud of themselves despite the score.
The scoreline did hide the true nature of the game, which seemed more like practice at points.
But you can only beat who is put in front of you, despite how sorry I felt for the Caps.
Roll on Belfast!

Very poor first period with both teams unable to pass to a colleague. Wooly looked unsure but managed to keep a clean sheet. Second period became a bit of a Trevor Gallant masterclass with him pulling the strings and Murphy in the Caps goal being shell shocked. Third period was a breeze with the Caps players wanting to here the final buzzer. You would expect to be excited what with the scoreline but strangely no. A pat on the back for the few Caps fans who made the journey.

You can only beat what's put in front of you, and did we do that in spades I appreciate that the opposition wasn't the best that the EIHL has to offer but we seem to have got one hell of an aquisition in Trevor Gallant. 1+7 in two games is none too shabby, with his play-making skills and McAslan & Stevens ability to put the puck away, I think we could be in for a very interesting month. Thought Matt Foord did OK too but I'd like to judge him against some stronger opposition to be honest.
