Another defeat for them tonight. We should be winning this one, no slip ups.

Thus is going to take to take a long long time to get back on track.

You can't polish a turd Iggy. I could have told you the day TB was announced. He doesn't have a magic wand. Even Scotty Bowman could do nothing with those players. I'm amazed no one has been moved on yet (apart from Brookes who was going anyway)

Something along the lines of “thanks Sheffield for getting me in game shape, excited to go to Manchester” 😂😂 Lol

Anyone know what the story is with Brooks - did he leave (as his tweet would suggest) or did Shuff just not renew his short term deal??
In other former Steeler news, Ryan and Matt Rupert are now 2nd and 3rd on their ECHL team respectively in points with 2+4 and 2+3 in 4 games...bested only by Josh Shalla's 2+5!

Looking forward to this one, Panthers need a big response after last weekend’s outing so here’s hoping we have fire in the belly and get back to our high pressure forecheck game and get scoring early and often.

There’s still time but I thought there’d be a lot more Panthers fans than there is, normally we take a good following up there, it’s going to be lonely in that top block😂 There’s a lot of upper tier blocks which are practically empty though, which I’d say is a worry for Sheffield... Steelers must be getting worried, these £5.00 a ticket arena games have been a disaster, the last couple of these games they only drew in crowds of about 4500. If you think about it that’s the equivalent of only getting about 1600 fans paying average full price. There is a (sizeable) minority who will not go until the entertainment matches the cost. Even at five pounds it is poor value. I haven't been this season even though for one game we bought tickets! I know of many more like myself who are bored to death with the product. Are you being entertained even when you lose? That's all we need, to be entertained. I'm even in favour of bringing in a couple of nutters to liven it up!!

Panthers to win by two, late empty netter.
If we play to the level we're capable of.

A big game for us this one. I think we may see a much improved performance following Guptill being dropped, I think this will have a sent a message to the team and they will react well to it. The away following has picked up a bit so let’s get behind them tomorrow.

Well they think they’re going to walk it because the messiah has returned to save them , if you read the various tweets.

O Connor doesn't save goals being leaked he sometimes Causes them . Good player going forward but don't think it's what they need. He turns the puck over as often as Stevie Lee!

Whilst O'Connor can score goals if allowed to wander the Steelers have nothing to counter the forecheck that this Panthers squad have previously shown they can do so well.
Steelers also have a distinct lack of testicular fortitude on their bench, so hit them hard, pen them in their zone and (legally) target the few half decent players they have. If they're knocked about and on the back foot in front of their home crowd they'll get frustrated and start lashing out, picking up penalties.
If the Steelers fans get frustrated and start getting on the back of their team, even better.

We have to sit someone out don’t we? Seems weird VanKleef is in the lineup over Bolduc so maybe he has a niggle or as Iggie says he needs to recover😂
