Poor performance from the Clan, a few players cost us the game. The Connolly one was extremely daft but then again Ron's boy leaving the bench to assault Connolly was out of order. Let the players on the ice deal with it.
I hope Shudra is dealt with on ice, not injured but just a little rough treatment to let him know his behaviour was unacceptable.

Anna Woolhouse would have been perfect, knows the League having done the Sky stuff with Simmsey and her brother played in the League for both Nottingham & Sheffield.

No stranger to the league, a few seasons before the Clan joined, he put up big numbers, impressive numbers.
Be interesting to see how he gets on now that he's 10 years older.

Hahaha, gave me a good chuckle after the stressful day I've had.
Well played Shaggy.

No more easy points for teams at Braehead.
We were awful last season. Pete has assembled a good roster, 1 more signing with 2 apprentices rumoured to be getting brought in too.

I liked the commentary he did for the Scrap at the SkyDome when you guys played Coventry in that infamous game.
As for the deal I can't wait to see how it turns out. I run my TV through my Xbox and get FreeSports but had to retune a few times to get it.

Cardiff had to recruit early due to the CHL, they seem to be going about it in a good way.
I wish them the best of luck in that, as far as the League goes, it's every team for themselves.

When the Clan was first formed they didn't want to alienate either the Ayrshire or Paisley fans so settled on Braehead.
They should have been brave from the start and went with Glasgow from the off.

Personally I love the rebrand. Disliked the old cartoony logo, at least the new one is relevant to the team's moniker.
Plus our Socckey's are pretty nice as well.

Yeah it was more the political side.
And yes, we did have the Scottish flag.

It'll be interesting to see how a Giants CHL jersey would look.
I wonder what flag they'd use or would they seek dispensation to go without, or would they use the flag of the 4 Provinces even though by IIHF standards they are under the British banner as part of Team GB and not part of the Irish setup.
I know they had Team GB in Belfast in what was a great tournament but none of the other EIHL sides used the main flag and just used their own.

This is a step up in competition.
Any team can beat another but there are too many variables to consider the outcome of any specific game next year.
France are a good side and I think we'll need to be at our best.
I said we'd pick up 3 wins in 1A, we got that and more. I unfortunately didn't predict correctly the 3 teams I thought we'd beat.
If we can get at least 1 then I'll be happy.

I know Wikipedia isn't reliable but we're in Group B for next year and Canada will be in our group along with France, Denmark and Norway plus others TBD.

I don't have a problem with Dual nationals, every major international sports team does it so why should ice hockey be any different? If these Dual nationals helped us to greater success then they should be applauded, not derided just because they lived here long enough to get a passport.
England's Cricket team is a prime example of Dual national success. Ben Stokes & Kevin Pietersen being the most notable names in recent times.

Think Perlini has easily been our best player.
I know I'm talking about past results but how have we faired against Hungary?

Hungary beat Poland 3-2 so we'll be in 1A even if we lose the next 2 games. Fantastic achievement but it could be better depending on the Italy/Hungary games.

1-1 after 1.
Decent 1st period and more than matched them at even strength. Not worried though. Just need to kill off the penalty and work at getting that 2nd goal.

If we can show that same belief that saw us win today then anything is possible.
I was perhaps being overconfident with 3 wins but we have 1 out of the way and not one of the teams I'd have picked us to win against.

Looking forward to seeing what we can do, if we can avoid relegation back to 1B then that'll do me.
I mean let's face it, Italy & Slovenia will be too strong but you can never say never, our best chance would be to get 3 wins. Hungary, Kazakhstan & Poland. If we get off to a good start today then my opinion might change.
