Cardiff not messing around, before a puck has dropped they’ve announced they’re carrying one extra forward... wonder if we will have the foresight to do the same.
Tweet from Steve King ‘Getting down to crunch time now on player announcements. We will carry an extra forward due to the number and intensity of the games this year so two more forwards to be announced and three Dmen. Shockingly I haven’t seen a single correct guys at any of the new players that are left. Come on, Inferno...you’re better than this! You guys usually circle like sharks at this time of the year.’ - quote from Steve King

They've got the Champions League too. I'm more interested by our procrastination levels under Cherno if/when things go a bit pear shaped, hopefully he won't muck about.

But last season, both Corey and Thommo, amongst others, were moaning about the market being dry. Better to plan ahead and get talent in now, rather than wait till we need new bodies to discover there is very little out there, of the quality we need.

We should be carrying a spare every season. Look what happened when we had Beauregard sitting on the bench......Grand slam !
And that was only for part of the season too.

We are fortunate to have a owner like Steve King and Co who interact all the year round on Instagram periscope the inferno etc. He loves winding us up and dropping the odd clue at who we have singed.
I don't see any other owner or coach in the league doing this which is silly because it has definitely Brought us together as a club.
I used to like Bereguard for the panthers. Didn't he have 1 eye or partially blind??

Love him or hate him i love Alan Hardy being so open on twitter with us (very few) Notts County fans, i wish i could get the same interaction from Neil Black. Beauregard did only have one eye yes. Famously lost it whilst skating through on a breakaway, and still scored whilst playing juniors. Heaven knows how good he could have been if that freak accident never happened.

Good move.
We should carry a spare. No question. Ideally an all rounder who can cover knocks on Forward or D.

...i wish i could get the same interaction from Neil Black... The guy has all the personality of an innaimate carbon rod. I'd rather he just keep quiet than embarrass himself (and the club) by trying to sound 'matey'. Perhaps it's about time one of the other Panthers' owners stepped up and put the grey man out to pasture?

Cardiff had to recruit early due to the CHL, they seem to be going about it in a good way.
I wish them the best of luck in that, as far as the League goes, it's every team for themselves.

It shouldn't come as a shock really.
Their owners are very clear on the way they want the team, they're back to back champions and their goals are clear cut. Keep the core of the roster together with a few additions each year. It's working well for them. They're big time hockey fans, hockey fans before franchise owners so they're aware of what fans want, what's needed and just realistic objectives. They're building a stronger and stronger organisation each season, they aren't settling for the season just gone, they want to improve more and more.
It's a shame other clubs aren't ran in the same or a similar way.

It's nice to hear good things from other supporters about the devil's. We had our tough times and where just enjoying these good times whilst we can. As long as steelers don't win nothing we will all be happy.

Full credit to the Devils fans, because if it wasn’t for them sticking together through the troubles of a few years ago i’d hazard a fair guess there wouldn’t even be a Devils team in Cardiff today, let alone one as good and well run as they are. From what they’ve signed so far i can’t see the Steelers winning much next season,it’s a straight fight between Devils and Panthers for the league, with Guildford as a surprise team to do well too.

Price structure for the challenge games I hear just letting them down.

It's a pity that Cardiff's arena is on the small size.

To be honest when we built the ice rink 3000 seats sounded perfect. But since then icehockey in cardiff has grown quite a lot and we sell it out every game.
5000 seater ice rink is perfect imo not to big as It would be like a library.
