That's just my point. You can't necessarily hope for immediate change. I said that too, so will a lot of people, but it won't be next year, I'd say; it's too late already, as you've noted. If it's going to be done, it'll be the year after.

Anyway, not sure what this has to do with who "we" may or may not want back next season.

No, I mean they are the league, in terms of management. Thus "the league" is unlikely to forcibly excise bits of itself. "The league" simply isn't big enough to have an independent tier of management. The 10 clubs sit round the table and make decisions. That's just how it is. Utter nonsense. The league is quite capable of having a management team who have no affiliation of any team .. is the chairman of the BBL a owner of a team in the league? www.bbl.org.uk/bbl-board/Our league isn't big enough . Compare attendances across both sports! That'll be the British Basketball League Limited, with all those fancy Dan directors, that is £300k in negative equity, having lost a million pounds in the last year, and has had to be propped up by a significant TP investor? Not exactly a roaring success so far, I'd say. They've spent a heck of a lot of someone else's money. Still, if that's the model you're happy with, fill your boots.

An hour. Was 59 minutes of that spent deciding who your favourite team were? Some of your “tell us why” answers were obviously a lot shorter than mine Bob ! 🤣🤣 Well, now you've told the league and PWC. That will go into their database and all the responses will be collated together, and actioned accordingly. Big surveys beget big answers though. (I know form personal experience) Be prepared for them not to action everything you've said, to the letter, immediately. That also doesn't mean they "haven't listened", as I'm sure we'll get if you don't see immediate obvious changes.

But they are "the league"... Wrong wrong and wrong... Without the supporters who turn up they'd be no league .. they may have huge egos and think the league wouldn't survive without them that's probably why the league is stagnant No, I mean they are the league, in terms of management. Thus "the league" is unlikely to forcibly excise bits of itself. "The league" simply isn't big enough to have an independent tier of management. The 10 clubs sit round the table and make decisions. It's been tin pot for years it's a closed shop old boys club and they wonder why better sports networks don't want to cover or have anything to do with the league .. the sooner the league removes the likes of Simms, Smith, kelman etc and all other conflict of interest then it ain't moving forward professionally But they are "the league"...

Am I correct in saying that our owner has an interest in Dundee Stars as well as the Panthers? How is that allowed without a conflict of interest? Am I missing something? The EIHL is a very murky old world. You will find that out the more you watch. The harder you look the more you find.

I think the chairmen is effectively one of the 10 club reps. So someone is bound to have a conflict. That’s relatively common to be fair in similar set ups.

Started this but don’t have the patience or the time to answer more questions than a months worth of question time, plus nothing will change, total load of poop as you say on this forum. Just shows the education and boring attitude of these idiots, That’s the attitude of someone wants change but doesn’t want to put himself out for 5 minutes to be part of it. Good effort. Oh, hang on….

Tell you what's even rarer. A PPG. That makes Panthers 2 for 21 on the PP since the Steelers game 4 Feb. Ouch. Since Neilson's arrival, the PP has got worse and worse. Panthers have comfortably scored the least PPGs in the EIHL this season, albeit from also comfortably the least opportunities.

Before last night...
Sorenson has taken a penalty in the last 5 games, the longest consecutive streak by a Panther all season. Panthers have spent 2148 seconds on PKs on Soresnson penalties, next most is Caruso, 1,442. Panthers have conceded 5 goals on the 15 penalty kills caused by penalties to Gagnon. (And are 3 conceded on 3 penalties to Lagrone, but that's a small sample size) Panthers are 0 for 16 on the PP vs Glasgow this season. Conversely, 4 for 16 vs Belfast. They are 23 for 24 on the PK vs Devils (a perfect 10 for 10 at home) but only 7 for 11 vs Blaze. In the last 13 games, Panthers have gone 33 for 36 on the PK, but only 3 for 34 on the PP. Panthers have been outshot in 15 of their last 18 games. -152 in games outshot, vs +53 in the rest (35 of those in one game, the 2-1 loss to Clan at home) Panthers outshot their opposition 18 times in the first 26 games. Gagnon is the only current Panther with points against all 9 other EIHL teams.

The Grapes Count :- Flyers 3 : Panthers 2. Close but home advantage to be the telling factor. Spot on! Law of big numbers says it had to happen sooner or later. 😂👍

But over time, it almost certainly averages out. Swings and roundabouts etc. If you’re Fab Ricci in the 1-6 Giants game, you get an assist for a goal you had absolute nothing to do with!

Isn't that why the POFW is so important to the "smaller" clubs? Anyway, neither of us know too much about pretty much everything we're talking about here. There's a lot of assuming. Yes apparently so with POFW, or at least so I was told several years ago by one of the leagues leading figures that the money generated from it is shared equally between all the leagues teams. That doesn’t change the overall financial imbalance between the big and small teams though. If somebody gave both you and me £50 our bank balances after would still remain the same distance apart. No, but every sporting league in the world has its "haves" and "have nots", I'd say. Even wage capped leagues have teams that are perennially challengers and teams that aren't. That's why "Moneyball" is so fascinating, but that's a whole other story.

Whichever way you look at it there is big money being made by some whilst others exist on the breadline. Isn't that why the POFW is so important to the "smaller" clubs? Anyway, neither of us know too much about pretty much everything we're talking about here. There's a lot of assuming.

No-one does, of course, but if you think Steelers make millions of profits a year, we’ll have to disagree. And that’s fine, until anyone has any proof we can both be right. 😂 There's certain things you don't need proof with, by your own admission you just think black loses a fortune every year! I'm surprised he hadn't sold up as his business model isn't working I can tell you exactly how much final profit Black made last year out of Panthers and Clan combined, as they (Aladdin Management Limited) filed their accounts this week. £18,732. What that doesn't tell us of course is what turnover was, what the costs are, any dividends, any intercompany transactions, management charges etc. We can argue all we like, no-one knows. (Well, they do, but they won't tell you on here) Same for Steelers Ice Arena Limited, which is the Steelers company (I'm pretty sure). Year to March 22, increase in P&L reserve was £173k. But again, we don't know any details. And it had £200k less cash. In its lifetime, SIA has £187k of retained profits. AM has £114k. Without any detail, anything we "conclude" is pure speculation. The detail is absent not to "keep the fans in the dark", but because they (like virtually every other company in that situation) are taking advantage of s444 of the Companies Act 2006, as a "small company" as defined by that Act, but I'm sure you knew that.

Like what's been said alot on this roster have been 'panthered' it's remarkable it happens every year how they can turn decent looking player's (based on CVs) to average ones within 6 months! That seems to have happened a lot this season, you have to say.

So show us all some. Otherwise it’s all conjecture, isn’t it? Not really it's just you being blind to the fact. You really think steelers do all this just to break even !! Wake up No-one does, of course, but if you think Steelers make millions of profits a year, we’ll have to disagree. And that’s fine, until anyone has any proof we can both be right. 😂
