Personally i would rest a forward, though presuming Clarkie is still out, i think corey still has sexy hockey at heart and it will be a d-man scratched (unlikely Lepine or Werner, so Beckett or Tuma). My choice would be to rest Graham. Whilst Green did a fantastic job last night, im hoping K-wall is fit to go.

Thoroughly entertaining game. Good all round performance with some stand out play from Werner and Stewart, and well taken goals by Graham. A stirling performance by Green having pulled off some excellent saves - my mom. Tuma getting better and better, and deserving of a regular slot. Regarding the washed out 'goal' - we were all 100% convinced it was a goal - no doubts whatsoever - would like to see a video replay. (Q. Can the ref give a goal if red light doesnt go on?.
Cant say I noticed much of Sestito

GB vs Japan tomorrow is now winner-takes-all as the Japanese beat Korea in overtime. Regulation winner-takes-all, yes. If either GB or Japan win in regulation tomorrow, they go through. It's if the GB/Japan game goes to OT that it gets tricky... (You'll need to look at the table here: stats.iihf.com/Hydra/318/IHM318200_76_4_0.pdf) If Japan win in OT tomorrow, they go through with 8pts. If GB win in OT tomorrow and Korea don't beat Romania in regulation time, then GB go through with 6pts (Japan will have 6pts also, but we'll have won the head-to-head... Korea on 3-5pts, depending on their non-regulation-win result vs Romania). HOWEVER... if GB beat Japan in OT tomorrow and Korea beat Romania in regulation, then GB, Japan and Korea will all be on 6pts. Nobody will be a clear winner on head-to-head , so that's that tie-breaker nullified. IIRC, what the IIHF then do is to form a little sub-group of the 3 tied teams and only count the points between those 3 (basically losing the points vs Romania). Unfortunately, that won't do any good - all three teams will be on 3pts. I think it will then come down to goal difference between the 3 teams in the sub-group. Which will leave Japan on 0 goal difference (having lost in OT to GB, moving them from +1 to 0), GB on 0 goal difference (beating Japan in OT, moving us from -1 to 0), and Korea on 0 (goals against Romania not being counted). So we're still tied. THEN it comes down to which team in the sub-group score the highest number of goals. Japan would get knocked out of that one... they've scored only 5 goals in 2 games (and GB & Korea have scored 7... if GB beat Japan in OT to take us to these tie-breakers, then we've beaten Japan). It will all come down to how many goals GB put past Japan vs how many Korea put past Romania. Now whilst the Romanian netminder has apparently performed miracles (they've actually conceded fewer goals than Korea) I have to say that I suspect this will give Korea the advantage over GB. But who knows? So let's just win it in regulation, eh guys? Minor point, but where it states 6pts, i think it should read 5pts.

if we beat japan in o/t, i think both us and japan will be on same points and with same goal difference - if it then goes on goals scored ( ?) we will be ahead of japan. However, because korea only lost in ot, they are not out of it, and if it does then go to goal difference, they could jump us if they win by more than 3 tomorrow ..... i think! Not making any bets here - but masses of good luck wishes going to GB for tomorrow. Any live streaming anywhere anybody?

Whilst people may think it's dull, it's a chance to raise money for charity - so get over the fact you don't like it and let the guys do something to help people less fortunate. Here, here! Golf is not my thing, but its a charity event - good luck to all those participating.

Agree we need Tuma (or Neilson) boost the D for this one ... and Graham to sit - though you have to say as a line Graham-Fox-Galivan are getting results. Its the Lacho-Myers-Stewart line that isn't producing at the moment, so maybe an argument to scratch Stewart? [Cant see that happening though]
Because of the heavy fixture list of late, I gotta give my prediction for a Steelers win (even though they are up in Dundee tonight.)

Took him a while to get his first recognized mom last season, though he got my mom award several times before then, and many, many times since - great work ethic, speed, and skill .... and has been said - consistency with it!

In my mind Olsen had just left a volatile situation where he had been giving and taken punches, then a few moments later he's got a fan in his face behaving in a threatening behaviour, he is is still going to be pumped up and his reaction, imo, is understandable. The punches weren't that telling and had little effect on the fan.

The Elite League disciplinary committee has announced its findings regarding incidents during and after Cardiff Devils’ game against Coventry Blaze in the Challenge Cup on Sunday 28th October 2012. ... ... The Elite League are also finalising their investigations into off-ice incidents which took place after the game and will issue a further statement in due course. With the last paragraph, it sounds like there may be more to come ... but not sure what they are refering to .... unless its against the bbt/devils? I wondered if it might encompass Egeners actions somehow, but that doesnt fit the wording.

Based on the footage i saw, i dont think that 'punch' deserved a ban ... and particularly so as the fan put himself in that situation - right call imo. But what about Egener going for Francis? Although I understand this only carries a game misconduct it seems unbalanced to then give the other participant (Francis) 4 games. I might be missing something, but from footage I saw it looked only like Franny was mouthing off, and then lunged at by Egener, so yes that one confuses me ... was Franny up to no good before Egener jumped on him? Im assuming there was, else that would be a very harsh penalty on him without doubt.

Based on the footage i saw, i dont think that 'punch' deserved a ban Thats down to you spending to much time drinking in pubs in Mansfield Gman It has been my duty in years past to prop up the bars and keep the town centre pubs going! ...,and yes there have been much worse fracas than that caused by the spilling of a pint!

we need to win 4 out of the next 5 games against teams in our own conference to match up to Steelers stats. A tough ask, but maybe now the cohesion has started to gel, it is certainly possible. The one player we depend on more than any other is kwall - so hopefully his calling away for his family matter yesterday will not have been too serious (as well as i hope that for him personally also).

Maybe a bit off the mainstream of thinking on here, but I love all the on-ice rumpus and find it highly entertaining and long may it continue ... but having said that disciplinary's do need to follow, in line with league rules/guidance. I do pretty much agree with most in that the line that should never be crossed is that of fan/player physicality, and for me as the fan was the instigator in this instance, i dont think a life time ban would be out of order. Don't think I would heavily penalize the player involved in this circumstance. Will be a bad day for ice-hockey if you have to construct barriers to keep fans and players apart. Act against the mindless minority, not against the compliant majority.

Anybody find it strange that Steelers have not announced this new signing yet - and no even confirmed by Simmsey?
Also a couple of mins ago Simmsey tweeted - An @officialeihl Board Meeting today in Nottingham, lots to get through. No signing news from the @steelershockey today
What do you reckon?
