Thanks to all of you who have said they will get involved so far.
I've got a venue lined up for an initial meeting, once we've seen how much interest is raised on here in the next day or so I will look to give the trust a formal name and then see if we can launch it on Twitter and Facebook to gain more members.

Ok, so, I have done some research into the setting up and running of a supporters trust. In British sports, a supporters' trust is a formal, democratic and not-for-profit organisation of fans who attempt to strengthen the influence of supporters over the running of the club they support. There are over 140 supporters' trusts across England, Wales and Scotland and the majority of these are affiliated to football clubs, however trusts also exist for Rugby League and Rugby Union clubs.I'm 100% up for committing some time and money into this. Who is with me? Think this is the only way that the club can begin to be accountable to the supporters. Without some real opposition / a unified group challenging the establishment nothing will change and we will continue to be the same under achieving club we have for years. Yep! You in?

It was 3400. Why lie?
They said on the OS we'd be missing 2-3 players. We were missing 6 imports. Why lie?

So the Panrhers official website claimed that we were missing 2 or 3 players.
We were missing 6 imports.
Why weren't they honest about it?

Lost tonight. 5-2. Missing the 6 imports probably didn't help.

Maybe we just need to get organised?
Set up a formal group, club, whatever. With some specific pre agreed aims and a set out plan of how to achieve them.

Why not just enjoy the hockey and support the team, its what we have waited months for? You certainly can if you want. I've been a season ticket holder for 15 years and will continue to go and support the team. Just because I'm frustrated with some of the management doesn't mean I'm going to stop going and supporting. I'd just like to help make some practical differences to improve the club for the benefit of all of us.

He got the panthers for a song due to their financial troubles at the time but I can bet now he will want top dollar as the sit-in tenets of what most think as the best hockey venue in the country and he wouldn't, I am sure, part with the golden goose easily... I thought we didn't make big profits??? If we do why Is our league record so dismal? It's not a bad idea actually, you are now getting fan owned football clubs, why not Ice Hockey?

We could look at doing a podcast special with fans on both sides of the debate. It would be nice if we could get someone from the club as well but that's unlikely. Iginla V PantherB the Faceoff! You could sell tickets.... Good idea though Jono, maybe look to get a couple of more moderate views as well.....

The players' jerseys are here, socks too. IceLocker have been given a handful of replicas so people can try them on and look at them. They won't post a full picture because they want a big crowd for Braehead and if people are going to the game, they'll take a look, then others who aren't going to the game might nip down for a look and decide to go to the game anyway. It's nothing sinister. Should we have them here? Probably but unless you're going on away trips, you would only get to wear it once between now and 17th September.. If we started the season with a home stand then the jerseys would be here, the schedule has allowed for Warrior/IceLocker to be organised and get them in for the first proper game without doubt. Seeing as IceLocker have to restock stuff is it not on them to get the jerseys in? Has been in the past so as always it's yet more Panthers bashing for the sake of it. The club has much more important things to worry about than when fans will get their replica jersey.. It's not like we've got until April to buy one... Like getting the team here for the start of the "training camp"?

Recommend to the fans that we don't buy shirts. Publish Neil Blacks email number and we can email him direct to cut out Moran. Request a question and answer session with Mr Black after a game and no pre ordered questions ! Pick another boycott game. Organise an online petition. A stand up for Mike Ellis type of chant again. A few choice banners during a game. A fan protest in Bolero square. Or simply vote with you feet. Thanks Iggy, Some of those look like they would be worth consideration. I don't personally want to damage the club in any way. I don't have any personal vendetta towards Black or Moran. I just want the club to try 100% to win. Surely that's the point of a sports team and all that any fan wants.

have whip round place a ad in the Nottingham post, something like, Calling all Panthers fans are you unhappy about the way the club treats its fans!!!!!!! Cheers for the reply but again having an indirect dig at them probably won't make much of a difference. Keep em coming....

Ok, so, this thread has turned into a bit of a list of the things fans don't like about the club and the reasons they have lost interest/ stopped going. A pretty sad state of affairs. Lets have some ideas about what practical differences we, a disgruntled fanbase could make. Even if it's a rubbish idea lets have it! How about a handout of flowers after the game. Not really what I was thinking and I reckon they have that covered already...

It seems like more than a vocal minority of fans are frustrated to say the least at how certain aspects of the club are run.
So, what can we do about it?
Moaning about things on here (and I certainly include myself in this) is not really going to achieve much is it?
The odd sarcastic comment aimed at Panthers on Twitter (also guilty) is probably going to have little effect either.
Now, I like most other fans (i'm guessing) don't want to boycott games because we love the sport and we love going to the matches. In that respect the club have us over a barrel, they don't have to try very hard and we just keep on rolling up in record numbers.
So, what can we actually do?
Lets have your ideas....

So we're still missing ? Moran Schultz NIkiforuk Dimmen Spang Unknown Pretty damn poor isn't it ! Yep, we don't know if it's going to happen yet but there is no good reason for any returning players to be missing the game. Should have been here already for the start of the "camp".

If Kolnik ends up in the EIHL and is not with us I personally will have a hissy fit, stamp my feet and say some really rather naughty words.

I've said more than once on this thread that my opinion is that he will be a good player. I'm not massively happy with how Panthers are run overall or this seasons recruitment to be honest but I have no individual problem with this signing. Should be a good player in the EIHL. So why the 'meh' then? Make up your mind The meh is for the roster as a whole and the fact that in my opinion we've downgraded from last season. I can still believe that Nikiforuk will be a good EIHL player while retaining the belief that we've probably downgraded on Kolnik.

So because I'm not bouncing with excitement I should be "watching another sport". Nah, not having it, sorry. Pretty sure i didn't say that! Might as well though if you've got nothing productive or decent to say, there's enough pointless tarnishing of Panthers and the players on the forum as it is. What exactly about the signing doesn't particularly catch your attention, that the re-signing of Kolnik would, anyway? I think he'll be a good player but I'm disappointed we haven't resigned Kolnik. Guess after 15 years home and away I should just stop going as I'm watching the wrong sport.
