At 7am Neill was out for tonight. Now he's in the line up ! He was indeed. Haha good job i told them the media team had cocked up again so they could change the press release. That’ll teach them to just “copy and paste” from previous. Good job I’m on the ball ! 🤣 Pmsl Not just hot air then from Caruso 😉

All the rumours Ive heard suggest we'd be lucky to see anybody back. Certainly from the imports. Kevin Moore included in that?

Sam Herr, Ontario Reign 18/19. +/- of -26 Bloody good job no-one tried to bring him to the Panthers for the 19-20 season! Iggy would have been crying bloody murder. Oh no, wait a minute... Or Spencer Naas this year: 32G + 24A for a +/- of... 0. Hands up anyone who wouldn't take Naas (another player like Roy yet to take a single penalty all season!) as a potential Panther next year based on his oh so unimpressive +/-? Exactly. If Jagr could score 57 points in a rookie NHL season but still end up - on the +/- I'm surprised anybody would take a punt on him long term. In fact they might have wanted to listen to the +/- naysayers as he had five NHL seasons with a negative +/- Similarly Crosby has had a 100pt+ season and still ended up on a negative +/-. Anyone seriously asking people to judge players largely on +/- needs their head examined. Or to watch some hockey. It's the bluntest of blunt tools and the equivalent of recording only how far someone can throw the javelin in an Olympic final and deciding not to bother about recording wind speed and direction. Because how could they possibly be relevant?? Ah yes the very same Sam Herr that had good or decent +\- stats in virtually every other season than the one you’ve picked. How very, very convenient that is. And they say I’m the one who uses stats only when the narrative suits ! Haha 🤣🤣 He was only positive in 1 of his previous 5 seasons before joining us. Just wondered, have you managed to work out what that spin was that you mentioned around Pare’s signing?

Sadly, as I've calculated, rather than just parroted the EIHL figures, Panthers "best" D man this season for "+/- per 60 ice time" (if you don't like pure +/- this is surely at least a little better) is... Have a guess... Tetlow? Last season in Finland he was +11 Previous to that -11 with panthers, on a poor panthers team again

Now he's got it to look at, he can use it when it suits his agenda. Well, except where Tetlow's concerned, but that's just an irrational hatred. When you don't attend any games, you need to latch onto the stats as they're all you've got. I thought Tetlow played a solid game last night. There was one bobbling puck in the second he didn’t control which led to a breakaway which Hazeldine did well to get back for. Other than that, the pair of them worked well together. I do like the speed with which Tetlow passes the puck. Gives it quite a rip, so much so that the recipient sometimes struggles to control it. But that’s not Josh’s fault. Few more players I’d be more concerned about before Tetlow tbh. And totally agree about the passing, he doesn’t mess about

+/- really is your new favourite hobby horse you love to ride at the minute isn’t it That and spin apparently! Still hasn’t answered the question.

Go on then. I will bite. Why has the defence tightened up? Not because they’re playing lower end teams, there must be a cynical reason. Playing for new contracts is my guess. I think he's suggesting it's been since Neill has been out. I’m still looking for that spin around Pare’s signing that he mentioned. Still can’t find it

Was surprised at how poor they were And that's also why it's importantant not to get to excited after that. We played 2 solid periods after a great first, but they were that bad. 100%

Easy work. Dominated from start to finish. Could’ve been 7 or 8 Indeed. Great atmosphere faded after the 1st because it was all to easy. Clearly it was the leagues current worst team?, but a very proffesional performance all the same. Was surprised at how poor they were

If you played 6 Brits though you’d have to sit 2 imports to keep the roster to 20. Yep. 1 would have to sit anyway. I'd consider sitting Tetlow for 5 import D, but if not then id sit Welsh and keep Kelsall in. I’d sit Lemay or Welsh.

Good win that! westin didn’t ice in the 3rd - hope it’s just precautionary
Can see why Lemay has the worst +- in the league

I’ll look forward to you all welcoming Pare back next season seeing as he’s rated so highly. Every team needs a top notch power forward like him ! 🤣🙄 You found that spin yet Dave?

He might be the best face off man in the team but that’s not saying much and he’s a crap player. He’s lost almost as many face offs as he’s won,not exactly great stats... Now who's using classic spin? Hahahaha the irony. Knew he wouldn’t be able to show any spin……cos it didn’t exist!

Top result. Did Pare get benched or something else? Only played 6:10? No, but he was put down to 4th line with Lunsjo. I did nearly have a heart attack near the end with around 1m30s left when we had an offensive zone face off and of all people Lemay was in the circle. Strange call. Pare has really gone off these last few weeks. Agreed. 6:10 is shocking though, needs to be playing way more than that

By the last two games though Bob the Storm could have nothing left to play for other than possibly whether they are 4th or 5th. Are you putting a tenner on Wenninger being in Belfast next year or Sheffield if Greenfield didn’t come back ? Have you seen Besko’s dramatic drop off this year in Belfast,he’s miles behind Whistle,a worse Svs % than even Rok. Maybe. Of course I have. No-one called Besko's drop off, though, did they? Same as no-one called Weninger as being the boss goalie in a league where his team were predicted by the "experts" to be basically fighting for a play off spot. It can be a very unpredictable sport. I wonder why Whistle doesn't play more?

"Corey didn’t sack Meyers, he was told he had to go by the club hierarchy for an indiscretion just like Levers was" So Levers wasn't told to go then? Your splitting wording hairs again JD,I’ve told you they were both sacked. One by the club and the other by Corey. Just wanted clarification again Iggy, your initial posts weren't clear again.

Corey also made the decision to sack Meyers and get Weaver - which seemed very harsh at the time but worked out ok in the end Levers was a good player but like you say, 0 points and he went down a league after that. Corey didn’t sack Meyers,he was told he had to go by the club hierarchy for an indiscretion just like Levers was. So why did you say it was Corey's decision to sack Levers?! "Yes rather reminiscent of Marc Levers. An under rated player who always gave his all, wins the league then gets sacked, what a great decision by Corey ! 🙄"

Had the opportunity to upgrade to Farmer/Boxill in 13/14, and did so. Decisions like that are made in sport all the time. IIWII. Heart and soul yes, but the facts are that 70 league, cup and playoff games passed without a single goal that season. I'm sure you'd be all over a player with those kind of stats these days, no matter how much he grafted? And I don't think anyone has "sacked" Kelsall yet? Corey also made the decision to sack Meyers and get Weaver - which seemed very harsh at the time but worked out ok in the end Levers was a good player but like you say, 0 points and he went down a league after that.

If you go to games and actually see them play, it also helps lol
Neill is a quality player, just watch him play and you will see it
