A tough game, probably made even harder by the debacle last Sunday.
The Blaze will go into the game full of confidence, and I imagine the fans will do as well.
Panthers will really have to be on their game, and the fans will as well.
The result could rest on the difficulty of Panthers game with Hull, and the Blaze with Sheffield.

Blaze/Shuff will be a hell of a game I reckon.
Shuff have a new NM, a bit of confidence no doubt from winning the 20/20 tin pot and a desperate need to get out of the blocks in the league. Could be a hard one for Coventry.

Going for a road win on this 4-3, possible it will be won in OT. It all depends who has the hardest previous nights game, hoping we will be having an easier time of it with the Stingrays.... Not a given though, is it. There has been some strange results so far this year, and the Rays have been seen to make a team work hard for a win. Coventry though are traveling to Sheffield, so Steelers could do us a big favour by having a hard game against Blaze. How likely is that, will Sheff be on form, or is the replacement NM going to unsettle an already down in the mouth Steeler team. ;D

Big step up for Murdy who has been playing with Whitley in the ENL (i think) for his career. He is a great talent for the future, but I dont know if he's ready for the EIHL yet. Best of luck to him, but if he plays you guys should get a comfortable win

Want to bet that this is mainly just speculation on the part of the newspaper? Paul Thompson "uncertain" how many of those four will play this weekend? 99% certain is still less than absolutely sure...
We shall see.

I hope we stick 10 past em after their players interviews at the 20-20 tourny thing. I think each player of Coventry that was interviewed slipped"we hate the Panthers" in there somewhere.
Hope Bergin & D'Amour hammer Campbell & Robinson, Bruce drops Stewart again and we thrash em.
They are becoming as unprofessional as Sheffield.

After tonights game according to ih-update, it don't look as though injuries was that bad... According to ih-update, Brian Lee(2mins for hooking) and Danny Stewart(goal) was playing tonight and it wouldn't suprise me if Hirsch was playing tonight aswell, unless Blaze have found a gem in Murdy who won them the game. So that would be 3 out of the 4 'casualties' who played tonight. So was the news correct and Blaze was really that worried about playing Steelers, who seem to be having a torrid time of it so far this season, that they had to play injury plagued players to get them the win, or was it to lull the weekends teams into a false sense of security?

Looks like we will have a hard time tomorrow, as the Steelers didn't turn up for the match, and let the Blaze have an easy day. On the other side of the coin, I don't think the Steelers are going to have it at all easy at Hull tomorrow. Think Hull will have quite a few good wins this year, hopefully not against us.
Think we could pinch it again tomorrow, win in OT. I'm sticking with that now, YES win in OT. ;D

Blaze had a relatively easy game of it last night but didn't play that well either ... same as the last time you visited Coventry, it was off the back of an OK performance and victory in Sheffield.
To win tonight Blaze NEED to up there game simples ... otherwise you'll take the 2pts from us.
Should be a cracker though!

Just in case people didnt know, part of the A4600 Walsgrave Road in Coventry will be closed from 7pm this evening (this is the road which feeds back to the M69 and the way most Panthers fans i would assume get to the Skydome) so an alternative route is needed back. I think going up past the Ricoh Arena to the M6 would be the best bet.

My girlfriend just went onto the Blaze website to see what ticket availability was like and there were only a few tickets left in the away fans blocks, not many seated together! Was going to make the trip until we saw that we would have been sitting right at the back, good job we didnt travel and buy on the door. Was looking forward to it but will now enjoy the updates from Jono instead! Should be a cracking atmosphere if there are that many Panthers fans going!!
