Forsberg has been having problems with his ankle since the beginning of the season. Gagne is not being shipped around and we've had the pylons for over a year now. By all accounts, one or both of them are going to be waived soon.
My point is the performances are getting better very marginally. At least we're giving teams a game before losing now...

Well don't hang about waiting for us this year, you'll catch your death a cold. ;D Well, perhaps the Flames can warm you up - they seem to be sputtering into life at last! ;D Looks like the North West Division is providing some great hockey again this season - certainly in the games I've seen so far. The Flames - Canucks game on Saturday was played at a furious pace and hard fought too. Bet Cook wishes he hadn't tweaked Iggy's tail..... ;D

They have simular comparisons to the Panthers, massive under achievers, huge fan base etc Kind of like Detroit, who having won a cup in 1955 went on a very long barren spell of 42 seasons without adding any further Stanley cups, and then won three in relatively quick succession. Oh and as for the under acheivement quip, there's no guarenteed formula for a Stanley cup winning team, if there was how come the Wings went on a longer "losing" stretch than the Leafs are currently on?

That i can t explain, after the mid 50s we weren t really a powerhouse team, we were changing owners, the crowd were non existant, it wasn t until the illich family took over in 1982 then we went onto draft yzerman the year after that we started to build a franchise and as it turned out a huge dynasty, but we carried on to fail in the 80s too, i guess 1997 onwards was `our time`

I sincerely hope that that man has to endure all manner of Hellish torments for eternity.

We re very fortuante to have Mike illich as our owner, he IS Detroit, he owns all the sports teams, (Basketball and Football) , also the Fox theatre, he started off with Little Caezar Pizzas lol and built it up. He brought us for $8 million

Another game, another Flyers one-goal defeat. This time at the Pens. We're so poor. I watched the game on replay, and your coach summed it up for me <paraphrased> " We've got one guy fore checking and two just standing watching." Translated, means players aren't pulling their weight and I have to wonder if dumping Hitchcock so early was the right thing to do. I mean he turned around a dismal franchise in Dallas, and won them a cup. Personally, I thought you were lucky you weren't down 3-0 after the first. The future of the Pens looks fantastic!

I'll put the mockers on Toronto then.
The leafs look like they could have a good crack at the cup this year. Certainly I would think a minimum of a conference Semi appearance is well within their compass.

I just watched the Devils v Rangers game from MSG, a really good game too.
It looked like the Devs had it after two at 2-0 because Broduer was having a stromer but he fell apart dramatically in giving up 3 goals in 1:30 over the course of the first three minutes of the third period.
Jagr was immense...anyone who says he's past it or no longer committed should have watched this game!

Fan-frigging-tastic! I couldn't sleep so i got up and watched this over the net, utterly brilliant stuff.
Check out the highlights on the website, we were scoring some phenomenal goals. How about Foppa's for goal of the week too? Incredible stuff. I told you it was getting better Shin, but you pooh-poohed me!
Why can't we play like that every night?
