and the isles make the playoffs via a shoot-out after blowing the lead with 0.7 seconds to go!!!! three shoot outs for my teams in one weekend, i can't take anymores!!!!!! I thought your guys deserved it more than the Leafs as you strung results together when it mattered. Having said that though, Toronto had nothing left in the tank and have been competitive since January in staying in the hunt for the play offs so not too disappointed. Looking forward to Kulemin & Stralman playing for the Leafs in 2007-08.

Because the Leafs put the effort in to turn their season around and they missed the play offs by a solitary point. It wasn't a great season but it could have been worse, it could have been a season like Flyers' fans have had to endure. There are both off & on-ice aspects I hope are addressed for next season but I remain positive about the Leafs.

He tries and tries but is he up to it anymore? What Toronto need is a genuine star player and they haven't got one. What would they be like with a Lecavalier, Thornton (Joe) or Iginla in their line-up? For me at the moment the Leafs are the perennial nearly men, the "could do betters". Maybe its time to move Sundin on and see what they can get instead?

I don't think there's anything wrong with Sundin it's just a percentage of Toronto fans expect him to do everyting, and that simply isn't possible. Sundin needs a genuine 1st line winger and has done since his first game for the Leafs. Toronto want to lock him up to a two year deal, which I hope they do but not for $6m a season that he'll earn next year if the club pick up the option.

I actually read today that Toronto will have an estimated $10m to spend on free agents, which is a lot more than I actually thought they'd have. Sundin to be re-signed to two year deal worth $5.5m by all accounts.
