so i take it this is going to be begginer/novice orientated? cos that would be great. Theres nothing for newbies in nottingham unless your under 16.

Yeah totally beginner orientated for people who have little to no hockey experience. Skating would obviously be an advantage though!

yey oldy good to see u found this!you should play with northstars over summer if u need ice time. they were on about a game every other week in the summer.
more on subject...this is exactly what notts needs. Amazing to see we have a netty who will offer his services!nice one! cant wait for this. I currently ice on mondays with northstars which is usually attended by Mavericks A team and other awesome players. theres a few Newbies too tho. i guess im kinda intermediate/beginer. would be a good place for total new comers tho. as long as they can do the basics on skates. most of your skating comes with hockey anyways i've found.

Exactly, i've always found hockey to be a closed doors sport as such for novices. If a team has numbers they never want a newbie icing with them. People should be encouraged to take the sport up alot more.
Would be nice to have a mix of abilities and great that we have atleast one nettie! I will get in touch with the NIC this week regards pricing and available slots.

I'm a newbie player but started playing with the Northstars over the last 4 or 5 weeks. I would definately be interested in playing in a more mixed ability rec team.

I am over 18 (considerably unfortunately...) Any more info on the level 2 coach thing? Are these few and far between or a fairly common qualification?

Im not 100% sure what the limitations without a coach. Im merely taking tims lead on it

If you get this going i can knock up a website with info etc. on it so people can read it and come down to sessions! also i heard an hour of ice at the NIC is £140 but dunno if thats because we get a student discount for the Mavericks or not. has anyone got a confirmed price?
