We normally get good signings announced just before the season ticket deadlines to generate a few extra renewals. Then the "lesser" signings once we've parted with our cash. Here ends today's message from Cynicsville. Likely to be different this season. Could turn into a right poker game as the coaches wait as late as possible before showing their hands with regard to the imports. Would expect any early activity to be regarding the British players.

But then again, with the requirement to play Brits in the EIHL and proven Brits at a premium, I would argue that re-signing Clarke, Moran and Levers and/or snapping up other established Brits would be key signings for Panthers (well, for any club in fact). Imports are ten a penny in North America and Scandinavia after all.

I haven't heard of any definate signings as of yet, unless you mean Moran?!?!?!?!?! I wish they would shed some info as to Adey being in talk and having possible signings on the horizon. I agree though, even though the season has only just finished it feels like there should be some announcements for the team being put together, esp after how well we have done. SNAP UP LAST SEASONS PLAYERS QUICK SHARP!!!! ;D ;D

If there were do you think it'd be possible to come on the Cage and not see it posted?? I'm not having a go, i'm as bored of the off season and depserate for news as the next person, but you seem obsessed with signings!! We rushed into it a couple of seasons ago, had practically half the squad signed by this time, and IIRC it kinda backfired on us! Just wait, i'm sure he'll do good!

I said myself i'm desperate too...its just the need to go on about it that escapes me, its Paul's responsibility, we just have to sit tight and wait for him to do us proud again.

Hi guys! Obviously I can't give you the name of a signing for you but maybe something to keep you ladies dreaming sweet dreams at night and you guys to keep your fingers crossed by giving a report from Sweden. Watched the sports news the other night and the ongoing discussion about AIK's terrible economy. One of the options available, according to one of the people in the committee, was to file for bankruptcy and start all over again in the 3rd division. I know you don't want this to happen to Patrik's team, but I'm sure some of you would start dreaming about Patrik returning to the NIC. Now wouldn't that be interesting? Take care, Glenn B

Hi guys! but I'm sure some of you would start dreaming about Patrik returning to the NIC. Now wouldn't that be interesting? Wouldn't just be the ladies with silly grins on their faces at the thought of Patrik coming back! I think he'd have a field day in the EIHL if he played as he did when he was over here last. Anyway Glenn, as our chief goalie scout, who have you got lined up for us this coming season? Don't forget, were building from the back forward this year, so he'd better be good! ;D Hope you're keeping well Glenn. Cheers - Steve

Hi there Mr Boss Man! Considering the wage cap getting reduced even more this season (if I've understood things correctly) I'd go for Ken Carroll of the Bossier/Shreveport Mudbugs in the CHL. He's mostly been playing in the WPHL and the CHL which might sound a bit risky, but he's been successful at any level he's played at getting good grades. Judged by comments made by his coaches and teammates he's a goalie who can definately win games on his own. And when I contacted one of the sports writers of one of the CHL teams he put Carroll as one of two goalies in his personal CHL All Star team. And then former Giants goalie Ryan Bach played in the CHL this season who if I remember correctly was considered a very capable goalie in the ISL. Currently Carroll's playing in the CHL finals and as always doing very well. So now I guess it's up to you Boss to get in contact with Adey so he can give Danny Lorenz in New Mexico a call and get some inside info on what Carroll could do for the Panthers .

Glenn .... you're a great scout, I like the look of this guy. Taken the Mudbugs to the play offs twice now and was WPHL Rookie of the Year and Outstanding Goaltender 2000-01. Stats look OK. I've seen the standard of this league first hand, it's not too far from our own. Adey .... talk to this guy! ;D

I would say lower ... but a hellava lot more physical! Jason Clarke played for the Fort Worth Brahmas in the same league immediately prior to joining us ... it was his kinda league methinks!

Don't think you would have to worry about Carroll being a goon Shinobi ... seems to be a great team guy... he even asked the coach to give the start he was supposed to have in the last game just so the other goalie on the team would have a chance to get 20 wins in a season for the first time since that was what the other goalie had told him... that's character . By the way... bumped into a nice wallpaper today that might appeal to you... maybe you've seen it before but here's the address anyway: www.goaliesarchive.com/wallpaper/belfour1024.jpgBJ: What CHL (or WPHL) teams did you get to see and when was it you saw the game(s)? //Glenn
