Have you read the rule book lately? A check from behind is either 2+10 or 5+game: the description of this case sounds like a clear 5+game to me. I presume you weren't there so how can you make that judgement? And no i don't sit 24/7 reading the rule book! It was a hit from behind but it wasn't really hard- more of a shove from behind. Don't even know if it was a cross check to be honest. Talking of Ryan Lake, apparently he is in talks with Steelers about a possible return but i wouldn't put money on it! You know what you think of the Star www.sheffieldtoday.net/ViewArticle.aspx?SectionID=59&ArticleID=791742

actually i think you will find it was a cross check i was sat in 119 towards the bottom and i saw the whole thing. I have never condoned any of paxtons actions this season he was a liability on the ice and was very much a loose cannon. - paxton in most cases deserved what he got from refs etc. So dont mark me as a hipocrite.

Personally, I'd be very surprised to see this (most people are expecting a return to Cardiff) - but I wouldn't be at all disappointed. His points production for Basingstoke last season was more than respectable, but I think his leadership abilities and face-off winning are the most valuable assets he could bring to the team....... It'd be nice - but I'm not holding my breath.

'Mo' would be a welcome return in my book. He's an old timer (In Ice Hockey terms) but he can win a face off, score goals for fun, & I assume would be classed as a Brit?. If we can nab him..get him I say.

If we can nab him..get him I say. Yes Mo would be a welcome return and it would be nice to see a Panther Player winning most of their face offs. However he definitely does not qualify as a 'Brit'. To qualify as a Brit I beleive means having played under EIHA/SIHA at U19 or lower level for at least one or two years.

If I'm honest, I'll admit I wasn't a fan of his when he iced for us in 01-02 but I think at this level, with a team with a fair few younf Brits, then Steve'd be a good addition to our team. And as was previously mentioned, he still seems useful points wise

If Sundberg got his consistency sorted out, I think he's right up there interms of ability. But it's whether Adey gives him the chance to come back. I think Sundberg is much like Pasi Hakkinen was for us in 2001-02, blew hot & cold way too much
