In talks with Sheffield already? I doubt that very much. It's only been about 9 hours since the season finished and he is unlikely to be talking about going to Sheffield before the biggest match of the season against them.

oooh i love playoff rumours...only didnt hear too many this yr..i tried to start one..Martin Brodeur is sick of winning Stanley Cup, wants to win EIHL trophy with Panthers..for some reason it didnt take off!!!!  alot of people are talking about Craighead and Steelers..just designed to worry us i think.. Devils seems to thinnk Ahlroos is going back there, Belfast convinced Shulte not really retiring, ive heard jamie leach is coming back as Panther coach and Lake is signing for us.. all from unreliable sources!! Do you remember every final for years we were going to sign Chris Brant.... playoff rumours rock!!! lol |

We could be going with a mostly Brit team next season. Moran is so impressed with our Brits and they are clearly being underused in other teams, so he wants to bring them to the Panthers and let them shine.

I drempt last night that I spoke to Danny Scott's mum and she was wearing a Steelers shirt under her coat.... When asked why?  ? She replied, no Danny isn't going to Sheffield but a damn good Sheffield player is coming to us, this is just for support!! NNNNOOoOOO Keep your Sheffield players we don't want em ;D Wonder if it means anything? lol |

A friend of mine told me they overheard craighead saying that Sheffield was where the money will be next season....read into it what you will. I personally think he will go there, not because of the above but i've been thinking it since christmas. As long as Caddy, bob (stancok) and jinman come back to us i won't cry!!  |

I hope Craighead will return, from what I've heard he wants to stay in the country and buy a house....but who thats with we'll find out!
Stancock really likes it here, and compared to money he woudl get in slovenia hes loaded (just bought a big house for small amount of money in Slovenia i was told)!
Hope Maxwell comes, he always seems to make an extra effort to thank the fans in Nottingham, no idea if he does that everywhere.....but we can hope!

With the reduced wage cap again :-( I cant see alot of the top players sticking around. Maybe if Craighead wins the hockey gladiator thing he'll be a reserve enforcer in the NHL.

They're not ALL here for JUST the money though. Some maybe, but if some players like it in Nottingham, get a good reception from the fans and the club looks after them, then that helps. The more money the better though obviously ;D

Panthers were the favourites to sign Maxwell last year, they offered quite a bit of money to him and he was so close to signing. But he then got an offer from Cardiff which included him being assistant coach which swayed him towards them. Halfway through the season he stepped down as assistant coach so he could concentrate on playing. Personally I think he made a mistake going to Cardiff. No offense to them but he would be a better player playing for Nottingham, Steelers or Belfast. Myabe he will make the right choice and come to a big club like us ;D
I can't see Craighead going to Steelers, I think if he is going to stay in the country he will resign with us as he has built a rappor with the fans and likes the city.
Cruickshank could easily sign for us. But if Sunny plays like he did at the end of this season then I would rather keep him. Playoff MVP goalie for me.

But as we've been supposedly going to sign him for the next season ever since he arrived here. can't say I'm holding my breath. Wouldn't mind though. Please can we have Ed Patterson too? The only other rumour I've heard is that Curtis Cruikshank is Nottingham-bound. Would be well chuffed with this. Very, very happy indeed! Tried to sell Craighead to a Steeler yesterday, but they had no loose change. Damn. Will try to find a buyer elsewhere. |
