Just to put the rumours straight, Heanor Lair IS talking to David Simms about becoming his Personal Assistant and Media Advisor. Obviously David has been very concerned how the media and fans have misquoted his comments and taken them out of context. He is keen to have all his media interests handled by Heanor Lair who understands and cares about his sensetivities When he has said he hates and despises the Panthers he hasn't meant he hates and despises the Panthers, and his ghost writer writing his articles in the Steelers programme has written comments that David would never never say. Negotiations are at a delicate stage and one or two clauses need to be thrashed out. For instance Heanor Lair is not happy about the requirement to attend Steelers games, but this clause maybe removed on the grounds that it infringes the Human Rights Act. I know this maybe seen as a betrayl in the Panthers ranks, but money talks, and the opportunity to work alongside the most repected man in British Ice Hockey maybe an offer to good to refuse. No further press releases will be issued until a decision has been made. HL

who thinks that panthers and steeler might end up basically trading Darling for Craighead?
if that does happen with craighead and any decent player from sheffield i think it would be a bad move as craighead bring more to panthers than any sheffield play would. so ethier stay with panthers craighead or go abroad

We've just GOTTA re-sign 88 & 27. If JC does go, then Please leave the country. -I've seen what you do to opposition! BTW, don't be surprised if Ben Bliss aint a Panther again next year. Sheffield's a long way from "Calvo"! ;D Forget Jinman- much as we'd all love him back, He's just too expensive for this league (unless Adey goes with 2 lines- I don't think so, do you?) I'm hoping Adey is sorting numbers 88 & 27 - he would be afool not to and i'm sure hes aware of their poularity here. Saying that, i heard they both wanna return so its highly likely they will eh? ;D

my biggest and saddest news: Belfast Giants: Cannot afford the Oddysey. Unless a new arena is found and quickly, the Giants will not play elite league ice hockey next season. This is from a very very very reliable source and he seemed convinced that it is a very serious threat. I hope to god that this wont be the case. The league has struggled this year with them in it, without them it could be the beginning of the end. As for JC i wouldnt re-sign him if i had the choice unless his wages dropped dramatically. I wouldnt give him the highest wage in the team until he becomes more professional and gives his all EVERY game. JC was awful yesterday after being brilliant on Saturday. Jinners is always brilliant, i'd re-sign him first without a shadow of a doubt. Oh god i hope the nes about Belfast isn't true! Thats the last thing they need, and the league for that matter. Fingers crossed there will be some good new and improvements over the summer. I agree JC's salary was too high. If he gave it 100% all the time then it would have been different. (Like Caddy - he played his heart out regardless of how good or bad the game was going). Don't get me wrong, i like JC, but he has to give it 100% all the time and not just when he felt like it!

Would be gutted if we got 88 back, surely not though. Fear I would have to defect!!!
Def think we need to re-sign: Caddy Stancok Salonen Ahlroos Carlsson And of course: all our brits!

I asked Jinner about next season & he said "I'd love to come back, it's up to the club". That applied to Caddy as well. Hope they do make a special effort to sign them, as they are both 50% better when playing together, like getting 3 players for the price of 2. Then again, Jason Clarke told he was definately coming back at last season's playoffs!!! I reckon the club will sign them both again to be honest. They both played better this season then they did last season, and look at the results? ;D The club would be mad not to sign them ;D

I do agree with your list, though would definitely add Jinman to it, if we can afford him.. How's zippy doing? Shaz x

News hot of the rumour mill.... Craighead wants to move closer to his roots....(Remember him in the kilt at the awards night???) This linked with the fact that he was seen talking earnestly with Rick Strachan this weekend seems like a move north of the borders may be on the cards!!!!!

I know. Everyone knows. What is hilarious is the suggestion that he will go play hockey in Scotland! (Even more hilarious now that I have had to spell it out - thanks )

Anybody else think like me, that with the wage cap lowering, teams' compliment of imports may turn to "the more seasoned pro's?" As I keep saying, we CANT afford Jinman (but please prove me wrong!), he's still young and the best days of his career may still be ahead of him. When it comes down to it, he knows he's too good for this league. I reckon that will be the deciding factor. Apparantly, when Panthers were lucky enough to sign the god who is Charron, He went on record as saying "I've made my money already. I could retire now." My point is that the same could be said of a lot of "seasoned" ex-NHL-ers, who may all just want one more season (or two when they see the standard) Last I heard Dody Wood was thinking of coming back! ;D

Last I heard Dody Wood was thinking of coming back! ;D Last I heard ALLEGEDLY Dody and Co. more or less burned their bridges when they left, without going in to too much potentially slanderous detail

Would like to jinman back but whould he play for peaanuts like he has this season. It probably depends how much you pay his girlfriend for a rather token "office job".

I readily admit I was wrong but you have to take back everything you said about Mikko!!! Zippy is well ta, had his bath and his strip washed before weekend, pity it didn't bring us more luck (anyone else notice dubious bounces off the boards all weekend???). He is now starting his summer hibernation period and will be re-introduced to society in September. Might see you next Thurs. Still think you have dodgy tast in players!!!!

Very sure number 13 is coming back, got to know him well over the season and has really enjoyed his time here, and who ever sadi he has just brought an expensive house in Slovenia is wrong because 1) he lives in Slovakia and 2) he owns a ho me their already. Also Charron has not ruled out coming back to England to play for us after earning big money in Siberia, would be a top defensive pair especially with Curtis behind them.
